Stuck on the plateau

Stuck on the plateau

Two months ago I made incredible gains in a few weeks, since then I haven’t had any gains whatsoever. Not in BPFS, not in BPEL and not in EG. Since I hate to waste my time I am thinking of how to pass this plateau all the time
1. Simple continue with current routine. Eventually gains will come back
2. Drastically change routine. Ease off or go up in intensity or totally change exercises.
3. Take a break

I have been doing PE exercises for 6 months now and I can see I had three different periods

Period 1: 1-2 month. Exercises were jelq-based. Good newbie gains mainly first month. (+10mm BPEL, +8mm EG)
Period 2: 3-4 month. Changed routine to more stretch-based. Gained A LOT in a few weeks. (+7mm BPEL, +2mm EG)
Period 3: 5-6 month. First 4-5 weeks same routine as in Period 2. Then, after seeing no gains, changed back to routine in Period 1. Still NO GAINS at all during this period. (+0mm BPEL, +0mm EG).

My current routine is

In the morning:
5 minutes stretching, mainly BTC
15 minutes jelqing, varying erection level, 2-3 secs strokes
5-6 minutes ULIs, erect squeezes

In the afternoon:
10 minutes jelqing, varying erection level, 2-3 secs strokes
5-6 minutes ULIs, erect squeezes

In the evening:
10 minutes manual stretching. Mainly BTC and downwards.

Totally so far during my 6 months I’ve gained +1.7 cm BPEL and +1 cm EG. Not bad, but as I said I hate to waste my time. How long should I wait before trying something else?

Any suggestions?

Oden

Hi, Oden.

I think your progress looks good so far. Maybe if you feel the need to try something extra how about using an ADS like a golf weight to keep a bit of tension on between manual sessions? Are you using any heat - if not a rice sock is a really effective warm up device.

Finally, is it possible that you may have over estimated the early growth and under estimated the present growth. What I mean to say is could the growth have been steadier than your measurements suggest? If so there isn’t really a problem.

Yeah, I agree that there is a big possibility that my previous gains were too optimistic and I now simply is catching up with them. My impression when seeing the previous gains I had was that this was too good to be true.
However, it might also have been the change from basically all jelqing to all stretching that gave me a lot of gains.
Two months of jelqing had soften up the tissues and then the hard stretching quickly utilized all the gain-potential the jelq period had enabled. If so, I might do one more month of jelqing and then try the stretch-only period again to test my theory.

My exercises are a bit constrained from the fact that I live with my wife and four kids and have chosen not to tell my wife about PE yet. Therefore, averything that complicates things too much are ruled out. I won’t even consider pumping, hanging, ADS for that reason.
When it comes to heating/warm-ups I skipped them early on becuase they stole too much time from exercises. If I really get stuck with no gains for very long time, I may consider warm-ups again but not yet. The first 2 months I used warm wraps, a rice sock and a heating pad.

I know what you mean about not wanting to waste time and effort, I feel the same myself. However I think you should give it another six months similar to what you are doing (with, like you said, maybe using heat again) before you can be really sure nothing is growing. For a while I’ve been trying to decide whether the growth is stop/start or fairly constant. I’m inclined to think it is slower and more constant (assuming the routines are kept up) than stop/start. I know people keep reporting periods of no growth but sometimes I think it’s more our inability to measure precisely enough to detect it even on a monthly basis. It’s only when we accumulate a decent amount of gain over many months that we measure and record it. This maybe makes us feel there are periods when nothing is happening but in reality we’re still slowly growing.

Also during these periods of no apparent growth, keep in mind that you are cementing your gains and making them more permanent.

Hi Oden

I read that you do exercises 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening). Your penis has to heal for about 24 hours. If you do the exercises in the afternoon, it will do no good for the healing process (in my opinion).
My advice would be:

Do your exercises only 1 time a day and remember “the penis will grow while you rest”
regards,

Peter

vanloon:
Thanks for the advice. Yeah, you might be right. I might be overdoing it and should try to ease off a bit.

Thanks,

Oden,

I have a question:

Do you do your stretching under a constant heat source, like let’s say the shower? Or do you use a heat pad?

Also, change your routine. A plateau occurs every time your body adapts to the challenge.

My tip: Increase the intensity and shorten your workout. Use a different approach…a new routine.

Make it huge....!

Uncut4Big / Mike

Don’t follow routines then!

Routines are just fancy ruts we get stuck in.

Which defeat the point of improvement.

According to your routine, I can see how your gains have quit pouring in. Ditto on what Uncut4big said.

AH

What dongdon is saying, can also be helpful for people with lack of motivation (very much people …including me….)
If you follow other schedules and exercises every time, PE will be less boring I think.

regards

Thanks guys.
The question is how OFTEN should you change routines?
You should also stick with a routine long enough to make sure you gave it a chance. If you get too impatient, you may change routines every month and never take full advantage of your current routine?

As I said, I changed my routine after 2 months when gains decreased, and I changed it again 2 months ago when gains seemed to have stalled all together. I think 2 months are like a minimum time for a routine?

I think I will stick to current routine one more month, if no progress then, I may try some chock-routines.

Oden
