Stretching the Tunica

I get a blank page, Rizlo.

Where did you find that?

No idea, I found this

Anything below 60-70 degrees C (threshold of colllagen denaturation) is pretty useless to work on collagen.

Collagen rejuvenates over the course of a month, it would be fun to use 70 C as warm up once every week and see what happens with PE.

Do you realize that 70 C is 158 degrees F?

140 degree water will usually start to raise blisters in 5-10 seconds.

I’m not going anywhere near my dick with 160 degree ANYTHING.

That paper describes using RF energy to heat the collagen microscopically, TO CAUSE CONTRACTION, for firming of skin and fascia. This is the opposite of what we want.

It is incorrect to state that lower temps will not work to allow stretching or deformation.

I just did a Google search and found that at 104 degrees F, a thermal transition in the microstructure of collagen occurs allowing greater plastic deformation. At 103 degrees tendon tissues undergo increased PERMANENT elongation from stretching.

Search temperature collagen deformation.

Of note in the same book.

Cooling the stretched tissue, WHILE STILL EXTENDED UNDER TENSION, leads to the tissue restabilizing at the stretched length.

So, heat, stretch, hold, then cold to cement gains.

I have to agree, I’ve done some research too, 104 F greater plastic deformation of collagen. That’s only 40 C , kinda too little if you ask me.

But, there’s a catch, if you warm, stretch and cool, the deformation will be longer, but thinner, I red in some article. So it’s long and thin in the end.

Yes, stretched fibers are longer and thinner, but growth occurs after.

Extenders result in girth increases. This is documented.

Then, stretching at low forces for how long? Heated at the same time, or only in the beginning?

Obviously from the results with extenders - the longer the better, and very gentle. Heat throughout.

Cool under TENSION.

Heat throughout, that’s the problem.

Just kidding about that tape ( 900 C).

But you can buy low temp heating tape, if you look hard enough.
