State of Dick

So, I’m always crying myself a river about being a hard-gainer and such, but as of late I feel that I’ve made some personal progress. This progress has not manifested in gains yet, but it has changed my thought process in terms of what I believe will create the environment for gains to be possible.

It’s called my “state of dick.” If you don’t have the right state if dick, don’t even bother with a PE session. Don’t bother warming up, preparing your equipment, or whatever else you might do…because it isn’t going to do shit if you have the wrong state of dick.

It has dawned on me that I generally have a good sense of when a PE session is going to feel productive, when it is going to feel like progress may have been made. The problem with me is, and many hard-gainers I would assume, is that the proper state of dick is difficult to achieve, doesn’t last long, and becomes harder and harder to reach as the days of active PE increases. I’m 20 days into this PE cycle, and I still have a proper state of dick to perform PE…this is longer than my usual 10-14 days, so I am really excited about trying to prolong this for as long as possible.

So what’s the right state of dick you ask. It’s no big secret. A soft, warm, pliable flaccid is what we are looking for. Basically the opposite of “beef jerky” dick that many of us complain about after repeated PE bouts. What I have learned goes beyond this very basic idea though, it’s the realization that a proper state of dick cannot be made, it just has to be. When I say made, I am referring to the moment. No matter how many hot rags, rice socks, or whatever you use to get warmed up will truly get you to this ideal state of penis where PE is most effective. They may aid in the process, or make you feel closer, but we all know if it’s not right it’s just not right…at least I do.

For me, once a long-term proper state of dick is lost, it cannot be regained in the short-term. Meaning, if you’re dick is like beef jerky day and night, there isn’t anything you can do for it to be proper for a PE session. At this point all you can do is take at least a 2 month deconditioning break. So the question is how to stay in this ideal state for as long as possible. Here is what I have found so far…I am hoping to gain more knowledge in the coming days and weeks. As a side not, I am currently pulling my longest FSL consistently. While I HAVE hit this number in the past, it was never this regularly. This is a big positive for me, especially considering I have had no length gains to report in 3.5 years.

Short term:

1. Warm core temperature - This will not ensure a proper state of dick, but it will be more conducive to one.

2. Time of day - I have found that directly after morning chub has subsided, and very late at night. These are probably at least partly related to #1. You have to be quick on your toes, when your state of dick is right, get to it!!

Long term:

1. Regular workouts which are not OVERLY strenuous or taxing to the penis.

2. Rest Days = 0. Rest days give the body too much time to heal and strengthen. In order for this rule to be achieved, the first rule must be adhered to.

3. For whatever method or exercise you use, do absolutely as little as necessary to get a good workout. The longer you can keep your penis unaccustomed to high stress, the longer you have to progressively increase the stress to your penis (as needed) to keep in this proper state. This will also lengthen your cycle before a complete rest is needed.

4. Keep your penis extended as much as possible at all times! Not stretched, but gently extended. This is important on many levels. Firstly, it keeps the penis from healing in a retracted state…this cannot possibly be bad. Secondly, for some reason, keeping the penis extended seems to keep it in a proper state of dick. I’m not sure how long this phenomenon will last, but this last point seems to be a huge factor in staying in this heightened state of growth potential. This means extended at all times! During the day keep extended (I use Monty’s PE weights) and at night stay extended (bed fowfers). I don’t know why, but staying in an extended state for long periods, has almost guaranteed that when it comes time for my PE session, I have a “Proper State of Dick.”

As I continue to adhere to this guidelines, I am very hopeful and confident that I will see my first gains in over 3.5 years by exercising with a proper state of dick. Please be hopeful as I am…if I can gain length, anyone can! If this works we will write “the handbook for hard-gainers.”

I know what you’re talking about. Some time ago I started noticing two distinct states of the penis. One is very soft, pliable and elastic the other is a bit rigid and not very elastic. I’ve written about my experience.

I got into this state from time to time but I wanted to be in that “fatigued” state all the time and I didn’t know what triggered it. I wanted to figure out how to get to that state. At first I thought it was heat, so I tried this. No results. Then after trying a marathon session I noticed that after about 1 hour of PE I got into that state. So the key for me is very simple. I need to work for a certain amount of time to build up to it and then I could start to work in this state. I suspect this time increases as you progress. So now I reach it in every session. It feels great.

Great post. I totally relate to what you are saying here. I truly believe that you have to feel right in order to be productive in PE. And you can only feel right if your unit is in the right state. I have my best workouts when my unit is ready and I can feel that right before I start my sessions. But on the other side If you PE only on the days when you feel like your unit is in the perfect state you will lose your consistency with missing a lot of days. So what I do I just take it easy on those days when I feel like my unit is not in the right state for a good session. I just do a little bit of stretches or light jelqing, edging.

Good post, you were able to put into words what I have experienced for months.

I do agree with wantsmore that you can almost think yourself into the proper state of dick after a while.
When I know I’m going to pe I just relax and get ready with anticipation and my dick just “get ready”
I think of it like a dog that you are going to take for a walk. Once they see the leash they get all excited but they realize if they relax and sit still first they get the treat.

I agree with this fully. When I first wake up it is soft and can stretch like no other time. About heat “making” that state though, I find I can almost get there if I use a lower heat for a long time. I keep a cup that I can fit my whole package in and heat it up in water for 15 min at maybe 100F so just over normal and it seems to get it in that state for 5 to 10 min. No other warm up seems to do this for me for some reason?

Well said. And insightful, Rushmore! I was noticing the mind/body link last week when I was on vacation from all of the crap I’ve been dealing with lately. I had, generally, a good “state of dick” all the time I was gone. Now I’m back and in the thick of the crap again, and I’m having a hard time finding my groove. I’ve been wearing my weights for most of the day again, and that’s helping get that “state.”

I think this is smart ted. When we force sessions at times that aren’t proper, I sincerely believe this is when we TRY our hardest. This is counter-productive for various reasons. We are conditioning our penis to higher levels of stress, making lower levels less likely to be effective. In addition, we are wasting time that could be spent trying to get into the proper state of dick where the workout has a chance to be effective and create gains.

I’d be intereated in hearing from other guys who live in cold or at least cold-winter areas. I sure find it easier to be in the right “state” when the weather is warm. If I could convince my wife to let us move to Mexico I’d be able to do an informal study about how year-round warm weather affects state-of-dick. Hmmm, maybe I could get a grant…?

Like I said “core body temperature” definitely has an effect on this “state.” This would be more dramatic in those who are more sensitive to the cold as well. For me, PE was less enjoyable when I lived in a colder climate. You have to make due with your situation nonetheless. Keep the house warm, use IR light, and if you’re really psycho…get out of bed in the middle of the night after you’ve been baking under the blankets.

I agree with this Rushmore. I will add, you can put your dick in the state of dick. Like Wantsmore said put your mind in the state of dick first. Second. Stretch that pecker out and put it in the fowfer position for a couple of hours. This position makes for the more pliable dick. So that state of dick is not just some random kinetic event. But the state of dick is in a perfect state when you want it to be. And that is just dickie!

Why fowfers, fowfers are warm and cozy.

I want to bump this back up as I am the same way. I had a constant positive state of dick when I was on wellbutrin for the first time, but this time around it is not working, and I am very sad about it. When it is in this pliable state it also hung lower for me, and became erect sooner.

A good idea. But given that most people don’t have very much free time during the day I don’t see how that would happen unless you either work from home or are living on your own.

So it’s been about a year since starting this thread, and I have learned a bit more. Firstly, I have made some length gains while exercising in the correct state of dick…I’m pulling 8 FSL now, which is a 1/4 inch better than a year ago. For all of you that think that sucks…it does, but it beats nothing! Also, I did take at least half the year off to decondition, with no loss in size, so not horrible I guess.

If there is something important to add to this, it’s a connection between the BC muscle and a “proper state of dick.” I have been able to stay in this state for my longest period of time, 3 months and counting, which is FAR AND AWAY longer than I have ever been able to before. I will get into this in more detail, but my wife is coming up to sleep now so I must sign off for the time being. Will get back ASAP.

I think you can have rest days build into your program and still have good state of dick for a prolonged period. The key to this, however, is that the workouts have to be truly effective. There must be some type of micro damage/deformation/fatigue, whatever you want to call it, for rest days to be possible. If not, rest in the absence of “good work” will definitely lead you out of a proper state of dick. I DO NOT think they are necessary though, especially in the absence of extreme PE.
