Shouldn't hanging/stretching increase MID-shaft girth?

People here seem to believe that hanging or stretching will only increase base girth, since the inner (thicker) penis is pulled out of the body a bit. However, whent his happens, isn’t it true that the point on your penis shaft that *used* to be in the middle is not toward the top (relatively speaking)? To illustrate, if you pull 2 inches of your penis from out of your body, what used to be your base might now be pretty close to the middle of your “new” penis. As this happens, your new MID shaft measurement should be thicker than what it used to be. Am I totally off on this?

It’s kind of reverse for me. I used to have a very bad bat shape, that’s having 0.5” smaller at the base. After hanging few months, I notice my base is getting thicker, and as shake’s illustration, my shape is kind of hourglass now, due to the previous thinner base is pushed forward a little bit.

Hopefully, with more jelq and clamp in the future, I can fix this problem, at least a cylinder shape will be fine.
