I have always had a routine of 1 on 1 off, but I was thinking to do 5 on 2 off with jelqing and stretches on one day and just clamping the next day. What do you think of this?

Changing things up is generally a good thing from time to time. It also gives you a chance to see what works better for you.

It depends on what results you’re currently getting. If you’ve been doing 1 on 1 off for a while without getting any results, step it up a bit. If it’s too early to tell, stick with that one for now. The way I see it, 2-3 months of PE without results isn’t a waste, because you learn what doesn’t work and what not to go back to in the future when your second or third routine doesn’t work.
PE SMART - Quality is infinitely better than quantity. Monitor your progress. Make changes accordingly.
Build it up. Getting from 1/1 to 5/2 is a way to big step, rather do 2/1, then 3/1 etc until you get to 5/2. You might go even further, to 6/1 or 7/0.
