The PE black hole. I have seen many come and go.

Anything that is worthwhile in life requires dedication, tenacity, patience and hard work. Unfortunetely, a lot of people do not have those qualities.

I used to be a personal trainer and I can tell you from experience, there are lots and LOTS of mentally weak people in this world.

That’s a good idea! Actors would probably pay a lot to get bigger penises. Imagine yourself in teaching PE to Brad Pitt or Kevin Bacon. The only down side is that I don’t really want to see other mens cocks. But if the pay is good, what the hell :D .

People probably don’t give a shit about what I do, but I just haven’t been doing much PE these past 6 months. I do moderate PE now, but I don’t post much, just check the chat now and then and talk some trash with piet and base :) .

I lost my job in December, haven’t posted much. Don’t really post much at all :)

Just started back into the PE game a few weeks ago.

kawaiahe (sp?) is also a guy who posted often when i first joined, but I haven’t seen him in a whil either.

He was having some problems with his wife. I hope everything is well with him.

I’ll bet that most of the guys who’ve disappeared probably hit their goals. Some may have quit after achieving no gains whatsoever; but many guys have exhibited incredible determination - I suppose it’s about how badly you want it.

Most of the guys who’ve stayed are making gains - which reinforces their faith that PE works; but they’re not where they want to be. So they stay, they read, they ask questions, discuss theories, etc.

I began PE in August 2002. And though I haven’t been a paragon of consistency, I’ve done fairly well. However, if I could’ve hit 8.5 x 6.25 within 18 months or so, I probably would’ve disappeared a year ago. No offense meant whatsoever - there are some great characters here, interesting & intelligent folks, and some highly entertaining; but, as Dino has said, this shit can take over your life. If I could’ve been one of the lucky bastards who gain - and gain quickly - without even understanding why, I would’ve moved on to other things a while ago.

I have been around the various incarnations of PE Forum to have seen people bail on the place for just about any reason you could imagine. Some people have gotten their gains and slipped out the back door instead of sticking around. Some guys have given up. Some guys have had to quit because of things like job or marital problems. I think we had an administrator (pre-Big Al) quit because the trolls finally broke him. I’m sure there have been people who do not devoutly PE and just get bored with our forums and move on to more exciting places to read, post, flame, etc.

Depends where you live, Ram. I know people who have lost their jobs too—to offshore outsourcing. Sad.

Yeah, depends on your locations and what market your in. The semi industry is up and down, but mostly down the last few years.

I have a couple irons in the fire that are getting pretty hot and the job market is a LOT better than a couple of years ago.
