Reasons people don't gain

I have to take issue with you guys…There are many no gainers here, including me. Most of us have been at this for years. Personally, I’ve tried just about everything here at thunders. I even have one of the old bib starters. I’ve taken myself to injury with my intensity on more than one occasion. No gainers are real and I’m certain that it has nothing to do with commitment or intensity. Some of us were born with a small penis and a physiology that keeps it that way.

I think many “no gainers” move on. There are many of us who come back to thunders, continue to work our routines and hope someone has a break through. Its all we can do. It gives us hope.

I wrote my EQ thread mostly for guys like you. I think for hard gainers or non gainers, your best chance is to shoot for greatly improved EQ (erectile quality) FIRST… and after achieving that, it will give you a huge amount of information as to where you need to go from there.

I think a large portion of non gainers are actually very sensitive to trauma and always shoot right past the “growth zone” even with a newbie routine…but watching EQ will tell you if thats true.

I know that in my case, I’m unlikely to make significant length gains becasue of a lack of intensity, i.e. my body wouldn’t allow me to hang the requisite weight. Now, I’ve made minimal gains with really intense spurts of manual P.E. - gains soon stop and thence do I (PE’ing, that is).

I have experimented with the ‘less is more’ 10 jelq strokes every other month type approach and even that fancy ‘IPR’ malarkey - gained nothing. Now, I do believe it is possible to do too much too soon, especially with clamping or pumping and the like - but the assertion that a large portion of non-gainers are doing too much - usually with a ‘newbie-like’ routine (say, 5 minutes stretching and 10 minutes jelqing) I find…difficult to believe. In fact I just don’t.

What indicators are there of an endemic of overtraining? The reports of injuries (or even, in you own personal parlance, negative PI’s) are minimal. Though we cant know, I’d guess most of our 80, 000 members try a newbie routine, gain nothing and quit. Most non-gainers do not start by hanging 30lbs for 6 hours a day and decide PE isn’t for them, which is more like what I think a lot of them would need to gain.

Compliance not struggle, go with the flow. Your dick must be pliable before any PE. Warm up is necessary. This makes your penis less resistant to growth.

For traumatized dicks I think a Fowfer routine brings back compliance to the penis. Even if you do not gain from Fowfers they soften the thing up. Putting the rubber back in the rubber band, the spring back in the spring.

Forcing your dick to do what it does not feel up to is counter productive. Heat and fowfers or the heat from fowfers can bring the pecker into compliance. Setting your penis up for a growth period. Making it ready for jelqing,hanging,pumping,ads.

About the erection quality bringing about gains.. I think this is very true. I will be getting my pump today or tomorrow. And with it, I will get on a consistent pump routine for Erection quality following Advocets routine. He claimed to have gained 2.5 inches length and a ton of girth from pumping. Thats alot and the whole time his erection quality improved. Hanging and pumping here I come =)

Nothing but my gut feeling, really. I have helped a number of guys who were non gainers, and they were all over doing it.

The determining factor in my mind is their EQ.

If EQ is great or more accurately has IMPROVED over their baseline,and they aren’t gaining, then its probably UNDER training.

If EQ has gone down and you aren’t gaining, probably OVER training. I think this is a pretty decent rule of thumb.

So, the question non gainers need to ask themselves…has my EQ improved with PE or gone to shit, that will give them the answer, in my opinion. Overall I think the greater percentage is from too much, but really its just a extrapolation based on my very limited exposure to others.

Is it true that the heat from fowfers is enough to avoid a towel/rice sack warm up/down? Because I find that bringing a bowl of hot water to my room or going to the bathroom three or four times to reheat the towel makes people a little curious as to what I’m doing. Being able to just fowfer to heat/prestretch the little man will save me a lot of embarrassment and water. :P

No, body heat is not good…enough.

You are just bringing your penis to your body temperature which will not be sufficient enough to warm up your tissues in order to perform an excellent stretch. If you are embarrassed in making several trips to the bathroom, I suggest you buy an Infrared Lamp. They are very practical and also they speed up healing faster compared to the normal “towel/rice sack “.

Infrared lamp, eh. But doesn’t a conventional light bulb give off enough heat to do the job?

No mate, Infrared penetrates into the skin and warms and heal the tissues.

I haven’t gained after exactly one year of PE, and have been alternating routines with decon breaks. My experience with the PE/EQ equation is: for the first couple of weeks on the newbie routine or some variation of it, great EQ (improved). Then, as I step up my routine *very slightly* (add maybe 10 jelqs every other day or so, maybe go from 5 to 10 minutes of stretching), EQ goes down - and it’s time for another decon break (because I don’t want a limp dick no matter how big it is!) This implies that maybe I should just stick with a very mild newbie routine forever - but from most of what I’ve read at Thunder’s, that is no way to gain. Well, I haven’t gained in any case, and am close to giving up. Not there yet, but close. I wonder too though (and I know this is another thread, but…..) if sex plays a role. I can’t say I have “too much sex” because there is no such thing as too much sex (life is short!), but is it possible that having sex 7 or 8 times a week could hinder gains for a 47 year old guy? If the answer is yes, then I am definitely quitting PE!

I’m pretty sure Big Girtha clamped without breaks and make huge gains; maybe that’s just with clamping, though most seem to recommend rests with clamping too …

I think the answer to the sex question is yes, it will hinder gains. This differs for everybody but I know when I minimize the number of times I ejaculate, I gain more.
