Remek, when do you think all the revisons will be done?

…of 2012. No really, I am thinking (and hoping) soon. We really aren’t changing much of the questions. It is the backbone of the survey that is being discussed right now.

Also, we added a psychological section.

Yeah it’s in the final stages. The programmer’s working on things. Thanks to EVERYONE for the extremely helpful feedback throughout.

Yes, Thank you guys :) Without you, this wouldn’t be much of a group project.

Everyone pitched in a lot of help, and it is very appreciated.

Hi,
I am the anonymous gentleman from whom Thunder was so kind to forward a few suggestions.

First, I am sorry that my comments/suggestions are coming at such a late stage in the project. Obviously, the reason I have not contributed these earlier in the process is that I only found Thunder’s Place a short while ago.

Second, I have yet another suggestion for an area in which some questions might be asked. This is something I only just realized was not specifically covered, well, more or less anywhere.

When I first began PE (not that long ago), one of the first things I did was go to the local clothing store and get an assortment of underwear of various sizes. I then ran them through the washer/dryer in order to have them shrink to the expected normal-wear size. After that I tried them for fit based only upon having enough room available so that my member would not be compressed, particularly in the flaccid (and hoped for larger flaccid) state. Based on that testing, I replaced all of the underwear I have in normal use.

PE is based upon the idea that if you force a body part to expand, it will grow to meet this new demand. The cases where this has been done to other body parts are numerous and well documented.

However, the opposite is also the case. If you compress a body part it will either not grow, or even shrink. This too is well documented. The example that comes immediately to mind is the old custom of binding women’s feet in China. Obviously, that custom was (I hope not is) _much_ more extreme than what I am getting at here.

The prototypical photograph, movie, or video depicting men in their underwear/swimwear/etc one sees in our society usually shows men wearing tight clothing that significantly compresses the penis and scrotum against the body (I.e. If they are showing a pic of a guy in underwear, they usually want you to be able to distinctly see the size of his penis). I would suspect that most men/boys have gotten the idea that underwear should be restrictive. However, wearing such would be significantly counterproductive to PE (you don’t want to stretch it out just to smash it back to a compressed state for most of the day or night).

Thus, I would like to propose that there be some questions that at least touch on the subject of how restrictive the clothing (underwear/sleepwear) is that people are wearing while attempting to obtain gains through PE.

Along a similar line of thought, there should probably also be a question as to the position in which they sleep. Specifically, if they sleep on back, side, or stomach. Sleeping on the stomach results in significantly more compression of the penis for extended periods of time.

I think it would also be good data to get information from people as to how restrictive their underwear was while growing up. Obviously this is information people may not remember. It may also be considered by a good number of people to not be relevant to PE. However, it could lead to some interesting correlations with people’s pre-PE sizes.

Sorry I do not have actual questions ready for these suggestions. I only just realized that these issues are not explicitly covered either in this survey, or in any of the information I have read about PE.

makyen,

Thank you for going above-and-beyond to make sure we received your suggestions.

I like all of your current suggestions. The question creation has been wrapped-up, but I will talk to the programmer and see if it would be a problem to add a few more questions.

Also, I am curious about this documentation you speak of. Could you provide me with some links, or a way to acquire these documentations?

Thanks again makyen.

and Welcome to Thunder's Place.

No problem, I am happy to provide suggestions when I think of them.
While I would not have suggested items if I did not consider them worth consideration, it is more important to actually have a good survey than it is to have any particular questions. Or in other words, do what you feel is right for the survey overall.

I am happy to provide pointers to documentation. However, providing pointers to good information takes a considerable amount of time to weed out the majority of bad information. Thus, if you have any thing in particular in which you were interested, I would appreciate knowing so I can focus on it. It would also be helpful to know what type of documentation you desire, and/or consider interesting. If you are looking for actual medical studies, you should know that gaining access in electronic form to more than just summary information almost always requires access to pay sites, or to pay for each publication.

I also don’t have a large amount of time this evening, so this post will be minimal.

However to start off (mostly general information):

The only published, medical, PE specific research I have seen was done at the instigation of Andro Medical specifically about their andro-penis device. My opinion, based only on the information that Andro Medical provides about the studies, is that they did not have enough subjects involved. That, and other issues, tend to lead me to question the validity of the studies. The studies also appeared to be quite self-serving, as Andro Medical sells the device into the Penis Enlargement marketplace both through themselves and other vendors. On the other hand, much of the medical research done in the world is performed at the behest of the private sector in order to gain some financial advantage. However, the studies were sufficient for the andro-penis to be able to be classified as a Type 1 Medical Device, and get European Health Certification (CE).

The summaries of these studies are collected:

Personally, I would not suggest anyone here purchase this device. It is effectively a controlled traction-force ADS at a significant price. It uses a noose around the glans. It has a maximum base girth of 5 5/16”, which is a bit small for many people. [NOTE: The base of the device does not necessarily sit perpendicular to the shaft of the penis when you get an erection. Thus, constriction may be felt even if you do not have larger than 5 5/16” base girth.]
[Other than owning one, purchased prior to finding Thunder’s Place, I am not associated with them. More information is provided here about the device than is needed in this thread. I did not intend this to be a review of the device, but I did not feel it appropriate to say “go see these studies” without providing more negative information. You can search for andro-penis and find other people’s opinions of the device.]

On yet another other hand (how many hands is that :) ), these studies contribute to _beginning_ to make PE accepted in the medical community. Doctors in the EU can at least say: “Yes, it is possible, this device has been shown to work in these studies.”

As to the other documentation I mentioned, the easiest references are for the examples I gave:

Chinese practice of foot binding:
Http://www.google.com/search?num=10…se+foot+binding
Http://www.google.com/search?num=10…bindin g%29%29

Footbinding, neck elongation, corseting, breast implants (time periods while popular):

Corseting:

Neck elongation:

Basically, soft tissue expansion is used in many treatments, the most well known would be breast implants, hair replacement, and many other cosmetic surgeries. However, it is also used in many other treatments including things like wound closure, etc.

General references:
Tissue expansion due to traction:
Go to : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/…earch&DB=pubmed
Use search terms:tissue expansion traction
Use search terms:traction therapy

Soft tissue compression:
I did not have the time to weed through searches to find a good general search for this issue. Most papers covers compression injuries, which made quickly finding specific studies difficult.

Thanks again makyen.

And Welcome to Thunder's Place.

Anytime, and thank you.

Ok.. I am out of time for this evening.

NOTE: I am not a doctor, nor even in the medical field.

makyen sorry for the delay. I have been a busy man lately.

Thank you for your long, and thoughtful post. I really appreciate it!

The reason I requested the documentation you spoke of is to build some data on my elongation idea’s. For more information, read this post: remek - PE Theory … If you have some time, I would be more than happy to see your ideas in regards to my post.

No problem. I, unfortunately, known exactly how that goes.

If I say that there is documentation, I need to be willing to supply it, or pointers to it. The only other reasonable response that I see is to retract the statement.

We can, and should, move the discussion along those lines to the thread you referenced. I am interested. I do have ideas, which are far enough along for me to begin to test them, at least on myself. Discussing the topic is something I am looking forward to doing. Unfortunately, I am a bit short on time for the next couple days, so will probably need to not say much yet.

How is the 2nd PE Survey work going? As with most/all projects it appears to be taking longer and is more effort than initially hoped. However, for almost anything worth doing, other than pleasure, it is almost always the case that it takes longer and requires more effort than initially expected. [For pleasure taking longer and being more effort can be a good thing.] :D

I was hoping you would be interested :) . I can’t wait to hear/read your thoughts & opinions.

I don’t think I specified this, but it is going to take a while to build the 2nd PE Survey program. We are using our own interface, and the programmer is doing a great job working day & night to get the task done ;) .

We first estimated 30 - 45 days of programming (after the survey was built), and we are still on our projected path.

You are definitely right, though, almost every project (that involves computers), take a little longer than initially hoped. But it is well worth it. This survey/data log will be open for quite some time… Building mounds of data.

What’s going on with the survey?

Peter,

Were just waiting on the program. For the prorgram to be compatible to this site the programmer has to build a whole program — with a database — from scratch.

With that said, I am excited for it to be finished, too :)
