Question on masturbation/jelqing

Is it ok to masturbate before jelqing or PE in general? I figure it keeps me from becomeing fully erect, but I want a vets advice.

I am no veteran but here is what I have noticed:

I went ahead and ejaculated to alow a stiffie to go down in order to jelq at 60% instead of 90-100%. It worked BUT the Corpora Spongiosa seemed to decompress too much and I ended up feeling like the workout was not as effective.

I think timing will probably be everything. Depends on your own refractory period (time it takes to get hard again after ejaculating). You probably know generally what that is.

I still feel that it’s better not to ejaculate and save that for later when you can relax and enjoy it. PE is as much a “head” game as it is exercise. Don’t know about you, but the last thing I want once I’ve cum is a workout. :-)

When I first started jelqing, I used to masturbate and ejaculate prior to the stretch & jelqing session. This mainly because the stretching has to be done with a flacid penis.
If I didn’t masturbate, my penis would grow hard after the first couple of stretches, which made I couldn’t do anymore stretching.
After I had come, my penis would become flacid and I had no problem doing the stretches.
When jelqing after the stretching, there was the problem of getting it up again. So sometimes I jelqed with a penis that had only a 1/4 erection. It didn’t matter really, ‘cause in that first 3 months my penis grew about 6 to 8 mm. in length.

Now, I don’t masturbate anymore before the session. I have not grown much more in lenght, but I have grown a lot in girth, as I mostly jelq with a 1/2 to 3/4 erection.

When masturbating and coming after a session, I notice that my flacid state remain bigger much longer than after a session without orgasm .

Here’s something I found on the BP Forum. Dom said some wise words, and he knows his shit, too. Go ahead and read it:

Sure, if you can hold off a whole day, then that’s gonna be even better. So what to do? Well, don’t wank as part of your PE session. Hold off at least one hour. I notice that my penis remains more puffy if I do not masturbate after the session. Most of the time I hold off and just forget it. I do seem to ooze a lot of precum during the session which is sometimes enough to send me over the edge. I have read there are a lot of pros and cons regarding masturbation following or before, but I guess for the most part it would be best to hold off until about 2 hours afterwards. I have also noticed that after a very instense workout of about 30 to 45 min. that it is difficult to get and maintain a fully rigid erection. I think that is because my penis is exhausted and needs to relax and refresh itself. Just my observations.

Mastubating

This has been argued many a time, and like so many other factors will not only vary from person to person but day to day, routine to routine etc.

At the beginning I could hardly finish a routine without the urge of jacking off. And with the kegels and jelquing got so hard (I was amazed) that it was difficult to jelq what I would consider ‘correctly’.

I advise against ejaculating beforehand for the simple (layman’s) reason that the penis is not in ‘optimum fresh state’ before workout for the increased bloodflow. And as far as after is concerned, I would have to agree with the others above (ie waiting a few hours) for the workout to be effective.

As well, my not ejaculating after a workout became part of a control exercise, which believe me was very difficult for a horny bastard like me at first! However with time, and under the belief that it would increase the growth potential of the exercise, I have learnt to control the impulse quite well, although sometimes I give myself a treat. And being able to control yourself can also enhance your lovemaking, as many here will bear witness to.
