Possible reason for diminishing returns on girth

I am just curious as to whether or not anyone who has tried deconditioning for a year or so found that girth gains came much easier after the break. I know I have posted similar threads, but as I read more, it seems that a lot of guys try it for a month or two, and say that they had no luck, so then they push harder, and still have little success.

Conversely some of the guys who have went into a long maintenance period and stopped clamping for a while seem to have gained pretty easily when they came back. I know SparkyX has mentioned this before, but it seems that 1-2 months will do little in the way of deconditioning your penis if you have been clamping for 6 months or more, it seems that it takes much longer to reap the rewards.

Any thoughts?

I have not taken long breaks for clamping but only 1-2 months. My experience so far is that I start to loose my recent gained girth once I take a break from clamping. A bit discouraging but the loss was not big while being clearly visible from my graph in my signature.

I am not sure if I dare to take a very long break from clamping as I have a feeling that I could loose a lot of my girth gains.

Historical graph since start including all Measures and Goals -

Start 2008-09-01: 5,9" X 4,5", 2012-03-31: 7,3" X 5.4" - Goal 7,5" X 5,5"

I took a 3 month break from jelqing and squeezes and lost about an 1/8 of an inch. Since resuming my jelqing and squeezes my girth gains returned within 2 weeks and now I’m gaining girth consistently. It might just be from a more intense workout though.

I just started clamping again this week and I`m enjoying feeling puffier (if that`s a word) all day.

I`m going on a cabin Holiday with the wife and four children for a week and so I won`t be doing any PE for that time, and it should be interesting to see what happens to EQ and so on.

I have been off for a while now (6+ months) Haven`t really lost anything, maybe a little length. I am still around 5 3/4 ms a little over 6 at the base. I am going to start back up a pump and clamp every other day routine, after I do a quasi newb routine for about a month. I`ll let you know how it goes.

I think gaining length is fairly straightforward. For good gains you manually pull on it and if you want to go all out you can hang hours each day and wear an ADS. For girth its way more tricky. I’ve had good length gains and good base girth gains but I don’t really think I’ve gained more than about .2 inches mid girth in the year I’ve done PE. I’m right around 5 mid. I don’t even dare take a long deconditioning break for fear that I will drop below average again. If I was 6 or something and had extreme girth goals I wouldn’t mind taking a break. What I do know is that a wound takes about a year for all that collagen remodeling to be completely done. I don’t know that a month is enough time to soften up tissues. I broke away from the newbie routine too quick and got into advanced things which probably hurt me. I’m going back to dry jelqing and squeezes which I think can give great pressures to get girth gains. Its hard because you hear about Big Girtha getting awesome gains by clamping like all day long and then you hear someone say that the trick is a short routine of just jelqing.

Thanks for all of the answers! They are all very helpful!

Well I think I started off clamping to much, to hard and to often just dove straight into it. I made okay gains from it, Just like 0.2-0.3 inches in 3 months or so. Then I had to quit because of an injury for a month then I went back at it, had lost those gains basically and have only just about got the 0.1 increase back after many months.

What does that mean in terms of your post. I’d say if you’ve been working hard to get gains and there’s not much you can do take as long a break as you possible can then when you start over go light at first and see how you respond then every month take it up a notch.

When I take a long break and lose some size it comes right back to me when I start up again, just like my muscles if I lay off the gym than start back up again. I have never taken off long enough to test the theory of getting bigger than I was before starting the break, I do reclaim lost size quickly though.

Yep.

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Off topic: I haven’t been PE’ing in a decent while, and was horrified to see that I was back down to 5.5” MSEG yesterday (was up to nearly 5.7” a month or two ago).

I really want to be close to 6” girth within the year. It’s a greedy goal but I’m competitive like that.

I have taken 2-3 month decons before, losing no length gains and minimal girth (0.1”). On returning I gained back my lost girth and began gaining again. Unfortunately I’ve forgotten the details of those decons.

Decemeber 2007: 5.8" BPEL x 4.9" MSEG

Current:-------->7.7" BPEL x 5.7" MSEG (7.2" NBPEL)

Current Goal:--->7.6" BPEL X 5.8" MSEG Do or do not, there is no "try".

I think after a year plus off, the tensile strength of the penile tissues will have returned to ‘normal’, giving the potential for something close to newbie gains. But as noted above, tissue has memory and will regain its former strength quickly, so you would have to build up the intensity of PE very slowly to get the benefits of the long break. Diving straight back in hard would just cause the tissues to toughen up quickly again.

FG, do you think that the year off would have to be completely cold to allow tissue to return to a normal state, or do you believe it could be done with a modest manual workout to keep gains and erection strength. I am willing to take a year off clamping, but it would be tough to leave PE entirely for a year!

Light jelqing, with no more force than you would experience during intercourse or masturbation, would be enough to keep gains and erection strength. Of course you could kegel all you want without affecting the decon break. More than that would most likely drastically reduce the effectiveness of the decon.

It’s worth remembering that if you take a decon of a year, then ride the newbie gains as long as you can, the overall gains may only be the same as continuing to get very slow gains while continuing to do PE for that year. Just a consideration.
