This is a general request folks to respect the subject of any thread you’re posting in and try and keep it on topic.
You’ll need to use some judgement as to when this is more or less appropriate but generally threads on a specific subject or question are top of the list.
A lot of the most useful, most read and longest running threads here can be hard work to wade through anyway but are made much worse by unrelated diversions.
In the end it’s for everyones benefit.
