Which form of PE gives more permanent gains, hanging or jelq-type exercises?


Both modi of PE offer permanent gains, when done correctly. Also both types of PE need cementing/maintenance processes after you have reached your goal(s).

Which is more permanent for you is another matter. Your body may respond to one better than the other, but again this does not impact permanence so much.

In the long run, I would say that hanging edges ahead, as you can approach it scientifically, maintaining a regular maintenance program.

However, every hanging routine should involve some light jelqing at least, for circulation and erection health.

I only have experience with one type of length PE, hanging, so I have no way of comparing the two on a personal basis. I did EUs for upper shaft girth also.

But I did use jelqing to restore circulation between sets and after my hanging session. Though I cannot attribute any length gains to jelqing.

However, I will say that it seems hanging gains stay better, and might require less cementing than jelqing length gains. The only thing I have to go by is anecdotal evidence provided over the years. But there is precious little of that. Usually, when guys reach their goals, they are gone from the forums. But a few do return like JAP or SeanJacobs to report on how their gains held up.

It might be a good topic for a poll, only PEers who have stopped for a long time period as the population.


I cannot imagine loosing an inch or more of erect length. I can imagine loosing .25 inch due to lack of stretching over time. I think the gains we make are permanent if we persist for a good amount of time (a couple years or more). I think we make the change permanent enough to consider our penises longer and thicker.

But I haven’t stopped long enough to gauge this. I could surmise our gains are like gains at the gym. Our chests, shoulders, arms etc., look nice and toned when we work out… but six months later, after lazy workouts, or none at all, we slowly get out of shape.

Same with our dicks!

Start April, 2003: 5.75" BPEL, 5.25" Girth Current: 7.125" BPEL, 5.5"+ Girth still trying...

I thought PE caused mitosis, not hypertrophy.
