Penis Size: The True Average

The Mr. Average site, which is based on the Ansel/Lifestyle Cancun study puts the median length at 5.65":

Yup. That’s the long and the short of it! :)

Do you have that expression in the USA? And ‘it’s as broad as it’s long’ - that’s another favourite of mine!

I’ll join the club, I also started at 5.9” and am ~7” now, but I don’t feel above average even though I know I am. Another 0.5” and I’ll be satisfied (with length, though :D ).

^ according to lifestyles the average is just under 6 nbp. 7 bp is not really above average, your nbp if probably about 6-6.5, which is in the average range (high average).

“The Visualiser” use Lifestyles average as one of their comparisons. They have it at 5.9” x 5”. All their measurements are bone pressed throughout that site. There is still a high likelihood that the smaller guys didn’t want to be part of the survey, and that those measurements are ‘larger average’.

I don’t feel particularly big either, except sometimes. We all get used to seeing our junk every day, so that’s not very strange :) .

I know for certain that I’ll feel much bigger once my girth goes up. At 5” it’s about average, but once it hits 5.5”+ I’ll be more than glad to accept that I have a big one. :)

I feel like I have a small big one, if that makes any sense. Like I’m just slightly into the big category at 6.75 NBP x 5.5 MSEG.

I feel the front page of Thunders should have a small box, or a thread link that’s always there, that has a constantly running poll for past and present thunders members, asking what each of our penis sizes were before we began the PE journey (for those of you who remember). Of course it could turn out off, but I trust TP members and feel like everyone would tell the truth in hopes of seeing everyone else tell the truth, if that makes sense. What do you guys think? Thunder?

There is a HUGE sample size with thunders members, and it would be a constantly updating poll. I think it would be awesome!

Based on my real life experiences, I think the average penis should be defined by racial or even regional ethnic groups.

The average of BPEL 5.9” x 5” maybe true to Caucasian standards. I am Asian. And I am pretty confident that most Asians have less than 5.5” BPEL and definitely no more than 4.5” girth on average. When I say Asians I specifically mean Chinese, Japanese, Philippinos etc.

Some folks like to argue that there is less racial difference than it really is. I will have to disagree. I have seen enough white, black and asian penises in person to have this conclusion. And I have had conversation with guys who are into racial guys who also confirm my beliefs.

But like someone points out, those who feel like they have a bigger penis may be more likely to participate in studies, exhibit themselves on porn sites/in porn shops and even show off in public washrooms. So the perception is that the average guys appear to be larger than what real statistics are showing.

I think my conclusion is that if you have the opportunity to see many guys naked, or date hot girls who have been with many other guys, the chances are that you are comparing yourself to a more privileged group of “men”.

A great potential study is to compare the average size of promiscuous men to say.. less promiscuous men. If the result shows that promiscuous men tend to have larger than average penis, then it only confirms that bigger guys feel more confident to engage in more sexual activities. However, studies like this will probably never be done. LOL

To me.. an above average penis is 6.5” BPEL. But with girth, a slightly over 5”+ round will appear much larger and gives off perception of “large”. To me girth can alter perception more than length because it is more prevalent to see guys over 7” than guys over 5.5” girth.

Based on my real life experiences, I would tend to agree with all kubchaser says there. Although I’d put the average caucasian size a little lower.

Not that there is anything wrong with that between consenting adults.

I think Caucasians are a bad term to describe average penis size. Because everyone who are neither Asian or Black would be considered Caucasians.. LOL All whites are Caucasians, but not all Caucasians are white (middle eastern for example.. ).

So the average Caucasian penis size is a very rough average. I would much prefer to say… German, Portuguese and Scandinavians, where regional standards may be different from the “average Caucasians”, but I don’t have that much personal experience from a specific country. From what I have seen, Germans tend to be on the larger side.. LOL (could be a stereotype, but so far I am convinced).

I have a theory on penis size among different racial groups.

It’s based on evolutionary perspective—survival of the fittest.

If you look at Asian culture, where population density is high and predominantly an agricultural society, the survival is greatly depending on how one brings home food. In a typical agricultural society, this success lies in a man’s ability to work hard (work ethics) and think smarter (business minded). In other words, women select those men who are able to feed the family because of his ability to generate food from a family business (farms/merchandising etc). Physical dominance is secondary to cognitive and social skills. So let just assume that those who are “smart” happen to have less than the average penis size and physically built smaller (in comparison to other racial groups). So over time, the offspring of those successful males tend to have smaller penis and smaller bone structure. There is no surprise that the average height of Asian males are probably between 5’5 to 5’8, whereas the average Caucasians would be 5’7-5’9+ (not to mention the insane height of the Dutch).

On the extreme opposite, the survival of blacks rely predominantly on physical strength and ability. Reside in the harshest continent where food source is scarce, a Black male will have to be physically fit in order to find food for himself and his family. Therefore women have the tendency to select men who are physically stronger (taller, bigger and faster etc) because of a better chance of survival. So over time, lets just assume that those men who are selected tend to be stronger and have a bigger build (from bone structure to penis size).

Caucasians, on the other hand, encompass too many types of cultures so the variance is greater. Men from some regions have 6”+ average, whereas others have 5.5”+ average (cultures range from agriculture to hunting society).

kub, I can abstract what you wrote to a question that we can’t answer; at least, not yet.

The question is, what (if anything) does penis size correlate with genetically? As you note, some of the factors you mention above are environmental as well as genetic. For example, I understand that there have been changes in the Japanese population after World War II as their diet has become more Westernized. Those could be changes like being generally taller, or things like more obesity and higher cancer rates (or at least a change in relative frequency of different cancer types).

So three average penis
Asians: 5 / 6 inch
Caucasian: 6 / 7 inch
Black, 7 / 8 inch
