Overweight and pelvic pc muscle

Overweight and pelvic pc muscle

I’ve lost 15 pounds and notice my pc muscle is stronger and more pronounced. Right now I’m 6’1 205 with the top abs showing. If losing 40 more pounds will benefit pe then I’m all for it. They say being overweight is bad for the pc muscle and so is weigh lifting.

Weight lifting is bad for pc muscle? Never heard before.

I think they say that being overweight is bad for the PC muscle because of excess fat constantly putting pressure on it weakening the muscle. This can include excess fat on your organs. I don’t think being over the doctor recommended ideal weight because of excess muscle (such as a bodybuilder) would adversely effect your PC muscle since they are attached to the skeleton directly.

How is 6’1 205 overweight?

Unless you have absolutely no muscle.

One of the common things that’s misleading Americans is the “ideal weight” or BMI. It is ridiculous because muscle weights way more than fat, so if you have enough muscle to bench, dead lift, squat, and row your own weight, and you don’t have any fat at all, you are by BMI definition over weight, but we know that’s the ideal physique and health.

Btw, i am 5’7” and 205, i have the top of my abs showing too. I DO need to lose weight, but i am only cutting another 20 pounds, which would put me at 5’7” 180, but that’s pretty much all muscle. If you don’t do retarded stuff, i really think that’s more healthy than 5’7” 140. But 5’7” 180 is like 6’1 205 in my opinion, because you have a more bone that weighs more.

I want to see for myself if going down to 180 will give me better pe gains, I have huge quads by the way.

6’1” @ 205 may or may not be an unhealthy weight depending on the amount of muscle the individual has. A weight like this should be cross referenced with a body fat percentage. With an average amount of muscle and bone size “big Bori333” would be overweight if he wasn’t muscular which judging by his avatar I’m guessing he works out and has above average muscle.

I’m 5’9” 160lbs at about 8% BF, which is within the ideal BMI. I’m 24 years old by the way. My Max Stats;

Bench 240lbs
Squat 300lbs
Dead lift 300lbs
Standing Press 160lbs
Row (never tried max) I rep about 180lbs for about 5 or 6 clean reps.

These certainly are not incredible or anything, some might even say they suck, but it proves your point wrong since all are well above my body weight. I’ve also never done steroids, nor do I plan to. Many of my friends are my size or some even smaller and they can lift more then me, so I don’t think I am out of the ordinary.

One thing I have noticed about loosing fat to get cut is people usually need to loose more then they think to get as cut as they want. Remember fat doesn’t just come off your belly. I was considered thin in high school at 5’9” and 167lbs, but my abs were not ripped and I had big arms and chest. I dropped down to about 155lbs before my abs looked cut and ripped. I never would have guess I had to loose 12lbs to look cut. A good example of this is Brad Pit in Fight club. He is 5’11” to 6’ and I have read that in that movie as being about 155 to 160lbs, much lighter then most would think. Granted some guys might want to be more muscular then that but even 5 lbs of muscle goes along way. 5lbs of muscle will make a noticeable difference. 20lbs is a radical change in appearance. Depends on the look you want too. Most of the men that women drool over are not huge, most are average to slightly above average in muscularity and have a really low body fat. J

Just my 2 cents.

You will probably look great at 180, but you will probably loose some muscle, especially if you got big quads.
