Open Source PE
or, Thunder as Linus Torvalds :)

As someone who has PE’d for 2 years, spent a lot of time on 4 different online PE forums, and who has examined 20 PE guides (12 pay guides and 8 complete free guides), I think I’m justified in venturing an opinion on the Best PE Source on the Net: Thunder’s Place, without a doubt.

None of those 20 guides contained anything significantly different in substance from the others; all of them were clearly lacking in both quality & quantity when compared to Thunder’s Place; and none of them contained critical concepts that did the most for my own gains: Fulcrum stretches (“V-Stretches”), the LOT theory, the importance of strategic breaks for deconditioning, and luvdadus’ multiple daily jelq sessions which gave me appreciable gains.

I can understand somebody paying money for a physical product (i.e., Bib hanger, traction device – like the PM, etc.), but not for PE information/routines. There’s no other source on the Internet that can even come close to this place – and there’s no charge. Of course, Thunder has to pay for the domain registration, the expensive server he purchased, as well as the monthly bandwidth charges (which have to be steep!). So, if you want to pay for PE, please consider making a contribution to Thunder’s Place – if you feel that it’s worthwhile & you can afford it.

I know there are other sources of “important” links at Thunder’s, but I wanted to put together a list of links that I feel is crucial. As we progress in PE, we eventually come full circle, and end up where we began. For me, this is a revisiting of a basic routine, including thorough warm-ups, and lots of Jelqs.

So, the following are links that I read and reread - and always seem to find something new of importance from them:

To begin with, I humbly submit my thread on the importance of consistent measuring ->

Consistent Measuring:
Consistent Measuring
(found in “Stevie’s Favorites” Stevie’s Favorites - I feel that proper measuring is critical in assessing our PE gains, or lack thereof)

Another important newbie concept for beginners to understand (not for the short term, but for the inevitable plateaus that lie ahead) is the notion of strategic breaks for deconditioning – which can result in jumpstarting gains (after a very lengthy plateau, I took a couple months off, then gained 0.22” of EL within 3 weeks of resuming PE – seemingly a magic potion for me, and for many others at Thunder’s).

Strategic Deconditioning (hobby):

The following is a personal selection of critical threads (out of more than 30,000 at Thunder’s), which I would urge all PE practitioners to read & reread:

I don’t kid myself – I’ve gained far more from this forum than I’ve contributed. But I do my best to pass along whatever I’ve learned, for the benefit of others. My sincerest best wishes for all who aspire to transform their peepee into a “Towering Monument to Manhood.”

Open source rocks.

Word! :buttrock:

ITA. (I totally agree)

At Thunder’s and nowhere else
you will find a wealth of empirical data for PE that has been shared by many, many men.

PE is such an unconventional and private matter that this type of information is precious.
Here, at our fingertips, we have the opportunity to learn from others that are engaging in
PE at the same time we are. And, more importantly, we can learn from the mistakes of other PE’ers
that were willing to share their experience at Thunder’s Place.
