Good points, Sparky!! But my tape measures, (I have several), coorelate exactly with the ruler, wood or plastic. It’s just that the ruler is so damn hard on my pubic area. BTW Sparky, I measure from the base of my penis, which starts a good half inch beyond my pubic bone. If I measured from the bone, I’d give myself an extra half inch BPEL. For me that would be cheating!! To each his own. :D But for the flaccid stretch measurement, at twelve o’clock, the reverse is true. I get a higher figure measuring from the base rather than from the pubic bone.

Wouldn’t that be a NBPEL measurement?
For me my pubic bone comes out and there is an indent below it where the ligs are, if I push the ruler in there when I measure I get an extra 1/4” or so. I guess we’re all different, maybe I’m a mutant and I didn’t know it, I don’t know… if only I had Wolverine’s claws and healing powers, I bet he could PE like a madman!

Btw, is 12 o’clock standard for FS measurment or it’s anything between 9 and 12?

Is 12 o’clock standard? I don’t think so. I don’t really know. I know Hobby suggested I pull it straight out to measure flaccid, but I’m more comfortable pulling it straight up above my belly button. It’s also a motivational thing for me. Each direction gives me a different measurement, so I decided to stick with the 12 o’clock one. I know when I used to pull it up diagonally to the right towards my hip bone, I could pull it 9”. But now I’ve actually reached the hip bone: 10” +. So the flaccid stretches are definitely on the increase. I guess you guys are right. I have that indentation too—the ligs are out? Inner penis? I don’t really know. So I guess what I’m talking about is the non bone pressed flaccid length.

Take it easy RW, I tried PE few months back. I didn’t know this site so I bought a membership at massive member. First time I tried it (I think they had an uli type exercise when you trap blood in the shaft in the beginners program) I had a pain in my left testicle. It didn’t go away for few days. So I went to see a doctor. The ultrasound showed I busted a vessel in my testicle. I had to wear a jock strap for two weeks to let it heal. Since then I became really cautions when it comes to going to extremes in PE.

Until recently I always used a steel ruler below the pubic bone with a single layer of cloth as a buffer just above the shaft. Lately I’ve been doing some home improvements and happened to have a short piece of smooth T&G floorboard that was about 8” long and thought Hmmm.

I can press the tongue side of this across the top of my unit (below the pubic bone) and press as hard as I like with no discomfort whatsoever since the pressure is distributed (always an issue with the ruler). I’ve lost measurement length doing this, but find it far more consistant, so I think I’ll stick to it for regular measurements. Psychologically I think it’s better too, instead of getting caught up on the numbers and wondering why I’m 1/8” smaller than yesterday, and if it was my breakfast, or time of day that I PE’d that maked the change.
