New 'Newbie' Like Gains After Extended Break!

Back in June I reached a plateau I did not have the determination needed to break through. I had reached 7.5 BPEL, 4.75 EG and was happy with my gains (.5 inch L and .3 G since last October) but I was nowhere near done. At this time I was reading some threads that had to do with extended breaks (Wad, Dino) and returning with a ‘Newbie’ type routine. This sounded to me to be valid. Since I was going through a very busy period where my daily routine was in constant disarray I decided to go on a break rather than try to work through the plateau.

After allowing six weeks to decondition I began PE again with my ‘Newbie’ routine. For the first two weeks I was doing the following:

5 minutes hot wrap
10-15 minutes basic stretches
5 minutes hot wrap
15 minutes jelqs
5 minutes hot wrap

At the beginning of every week I would bump up the stretching and jelqs to where I am now doing this:

5 minutes hot wrap
30 minutes all type of stretches
5 minutes hot wrap
20-30 minutes jelqs
5 minutes hot wrap

I have recently added in two 15 minute stretch/dry jelq sessions in the middle of the day at work.

I follow this routine either 2 on 1 off, or 3 on 1 off, whatever my schedule allows. I never take more than one day off. I sometimes have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to fit this in when I know I will be busy in the evening. I am focusing primarily on consistency this go around as I know this is key and has been my number 1 problem all along.

Now the results. I have been determined not to measure for two months however, I was really beginning to notice some growth the last week. This not being enough temptation to break out the ruler something else has come up. For the past couple of months my wife and I had not been having as much sex but in the past two weeks, after one particularly good session, my wife has been more than agreeable and last night she practically raped me, telling me several times while she was either sucking me or riding on top that she really loves my big cock. Of course I was riding high all night with praise like that.

So, this morning I get up and break out the ruler and tape measure. In 1 month I had gained 5/16ths EL and 1/8th EG!( I finally reached 5 EG) No shit, these are the most rapid gains I have ever had!

I think I can attribute this to three things, the extended deconditioning break, the renewed determination to stay consistent, and the knowledge I have gained here at Thunders. Quality of exercises make a huge difference.

I can only be optimistic about the future and believe anything is possible.

When you say these are the most rapid gains you’ve experienced does that mean you didn’t see such considerable results even when you first began PE?
Was your intensity/consistency not ever this focused before?

Quality does indeed make a difference. I think you should try throwing in a shock weekend in another week or so just to bump things up a little more. That has worked well for me in the past after coming back from layoffs. You take a break of a month or so (for whatever reason), come back and slowly build up until you have a solid and consistent routine going, and then you do a shock weekend where you do your current routine 2-3 times a day. It’s a great motivator and good for getting some extra gains.

Cap, the intensity was always there but the consistency was always lacking even though consistency is always what I preach around here. I knew it was a major fault of mine and I have taken measures to combat this failing.

I think that and the quality of exercises are key. For example I will hold a stretch for 3 minutes now as opposed to 30 - 60 seconds. You(well maybe not you) would be surprised the difference this makes. You really feel the pull. I also feel the quality of jelqing has made a difference as well.

You have hit it right when you say ‘focused’. I feel I have bumped up my focus on determination/quality several notches.

How do you hold for 3 minutes without exhausting your hand?


Its not easy. I usually resort to propping my clamping hand with my free hand. Sometimes with my free hand I will I will grab just below the clamping hand and switch off. Believe me though that last minute is tough.

I had a similar experience during my first year of PE. I for whatever reason quit for a month - and when I came back, I got faster growth than ever.


Let me clarify a bit more. SunshineKid was the one who suggested long held stretches of medium force. Here’s the thread Question for Medical Professionals….

Thunders is great, you get tidbits of info from everywhere.

I took it as sound advice and they seem to work well for me. I just get through them anyway I can. After you get used to holding your stretch you kind of learn to ignore the pain(in your forearms. Pain in dick, bad)


Can’t wait till I start back, haha. I’ve had about 3 months of maintenance followed by 2 months of deconditioning.

I’ve experienced that last once also. I took a 6 week break and started up again and gained a few tenths of an inch in my bone pressed stretch. I basically think that you give yourself those “newbie” gains people experience when they start PE due to the fact that your penis has healed. It’s almost like starting over with more meat to start out with.

Congrats - great gains man. It works, huh? I had gained nearly 1/4” EL in about 3 weeks after an extended break (and that’s after an agonizingly long plateau of nothing).

This alternating of breaks/workouts may be the ticket for continued gains of all intermediate/advanced PE trainees.

I’m a little confused by breaks. Do you do maintenance while you’re on a break? If so, what do you do for a maintenance routine and how often do you do it? I’m nowhere near a break myself as I’m still gaining, but I’d like to keep it in mind. I believe in the effectiveness of scheduled breaks.

Starting: 6/04/04 BPEL = 6 & 1/2 X EG = 4 & 1/2 9/20/04 BPEL = 7 (!!) X EG = 4 & 7/8 Either I'm gaining or my ruler is shrinking.
