Actually, there can be substantial degradation of the cardiovascular system by age 28. I remember in my pathophysiology class in college, our instructor said that she wouldn’t be surprised if a majority of the students in our class had over 50% occlusion of coronary arteries, just by virtue of being on Standard American Diet. (The median age of my class was 28.) This may be somewhat of an overstatement, but the idea stuck with me that:

Significant degree of occlusion of coronary, and other, arteries may occur well before the emergence of heart attacks and other obvious signs of disease. Our modern diet of processed foods likely is doing damage well before we are diagnosable with a condition.

So Sparkyx’s suggestion was a valid one, I would say.

Gosh, I completely forgot about this thread,LOL!

Just as you said in your post here Z, I had an unfortunate experience years ago when I was a young guy in the Military. I was driving to work on Base, and there were two guys on the side of the road. They (turns out) were Military cops and were jogging, when one collapsed. His buddy flagged me down, and I performed CPR on the guy until help came. Well, he died anyway, and it turned out he had a heart attack while jogging, and autopsy showed he had MASSIVE coronary artery disease…at 23 years of age!

Exactly as your instructor said, now days by high school age many kids already have heart disease from the SAD diet! Shocking but true. Further, early signs show up as ED because the arteries are much smaller in the penis and will occlude faster than larger arteries. Again, not to say all ED is related to cardiovascular disease, but in his case, I thought it was a prudent suggestion…still do!

The good news is that it can be completely reversed with a diet like Paleo or Rosedale, I think I wrote a thread on that somewhere here.

sparkyx - good points

Experiencing a sudden death in a young people who shouldn’t be dying is not a pleasant experience. I’ve seen too many. Heart attacks at young age are on the rise for reasons discussed; very avoidable risk factors. Unfortunately there is one risk that we have no control over - genetics. In many cases of heart attacks at an early age, they are the result of family history of the same. The only things that can help these individuals is to control all the other risk factors - smoking, weight, sedentary life style, etc. Even with that, this genetic “curse” is bad…

As far as CV disease and erection, high blood pressure, occlusive vascular disease, diabetes and medications are just a few of the many causes of poor or absent EQ.

A good diet and exercise are always good recommendations. I practice both and am doing well (at an age greater than the vast majority of guys on TP). I hope you all are doing the same (not you sparkyx - I know you already are). Do it for your penis…

Nice to hear from you Pudendum, good to see you still drop in!

I had suffered E.D. For years and it was effecting my marriage.

I had a heart attack in April and had stents put in to unblock two arteries.

I’m now railing my wife twice and sometimes three times a day.

I’m 53.

Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

WOW and you lucky dog! Again, many times ED can be an early warning of cardiovascular disease. The arteries of the penis are small, so they will clog far sooner than coronary arteries. NOT to be confused with psychogenic ED or panic dick (for all you guys that freak out each time your dick doesn’t work!!!)

I may have mentioned it before, but Paleo or Rosedale diet. Also consider looking into magnesium orotate or aspartate.

My issue is genetic. The cupboard full of meds prescribed after surgery have now been successfully switched for natural products that do as well if not better without the side effects.

The only med I’m still on is an anti-coagulant to stop the clogging of the stents.

And my wife is smiling all the time.

Life is good.

I’m 42 this month. I can’t say that I ever got evening and morning wood that regularly. I can’t say mine has improved since 3 months of PE exercises, hard to see if I get less wood though. According to a thread here, a physical indicator that I will get a longer erect penis is that I should be getting improved evening and morning wood. Not sure if that’s true or not, but if so, then I’m not on my way to getting that length gain.
