Has anyone notice that your morning wood is alittle shorter

then if you watch alittle porn to get hard and then measure later

in the day. Maybe its just me. I measured 7 1/4 BP today but

first thing in the morning its alittle over 6 3/4, felt just as hard both

times though.

Sure you measured correctly? Nocturnal and morning erections are very often larger than conscious sexual ones because they derive from a different neural pathway.

I always have to take a leak also so I figured that might have something

to do with it.

I haven’t’ found that to be the case. I haven’t checked recently, but I don’t think my morning wood is 100% either—certainly not the quality erection I get from edging.

My wood is always the biggest when it is being plunged into the dark spaces of Mrs. OHL.

I don’t buy that. The pathway is simply a switch. One pathway won’t trigger more length in my opinion.

I’ll buy it. My morning woodies as I awaken are usually the longest and thickest.

Yeah in the morning I’m usually a little bigger than the regulars.

I’d have to agree with seyz too, my dick is biggest in the mornings, especially the girth and head.

Your level of relaxation and ambient temperature will be the factors that determine the quality of an erection. During sleep your blood will naturally pool in the loin region and the combined warmth of loose fitting jammies and blankets, as well as your own body heat will allow for maximum flaccid expansion and blood engorgement.

These quality erections are a result of muscle relaxation, you will find stunted erections as a result of anxiety, body posture, arousal level (too high arousal can result in a shortened erection), bladder condition; these areas all contribute to blood flow and suppleness of affected tissue.

This is how the theory works, and greatly over-simplified to show the point:
Though both operate while we are conscious, the sympathetic nervous system controls most of our responses including “fight or flight.” Because it acts protectively, it tends to be an erection dampener (sort of “unsympathetic” to erections occuring). There are good reasons for this. At or jobs (or hunting in the forest for mammoths) it would be inappropriate to have erections because we could damage our penises, for one thing, when running through brush with spears in our hands, hence most of the time while awake, we are flaccid, unless sexual impulses are sufficient to overcome the erection-dampening effect.

During REM sleep, the sympathetic nervous system is closed down and the parasympathetic takes over. Without the sympathetic saying “NO!” most of the time, the parasympathetic is free to encourage erections, and frequently. Nocturnal erections then occur in a normal, healthy male without ED 4 - 5 times during REM sleep and are sustained for about a half hour each. There are no impulses at all from the sympathetic system to hold them back. It makes sense to me that the larger size many notice in these waking erections from REM sleep might be attributable to no interference from the sympathetic nervous system.

Your post corroborates what I discovered after nine months of PE—and still experience to this day. The problem is I haven’t been able to document this maximum woody with a measured pic. It starts to flag the second I wake up. Normally my jelqed or viagra induced erection is noticeably smaller. Guess I’ll just keep trying—one of these mornings!!! :D :

There is no controlling a morning erection that I know of except remaining prone and that doesn’t always work if you are fully awake. Get up? Move around? It fades like a lilac blossom.
