Infinity_06 - Sorry for the delay, I’ve been out of town.

Exercising the BC muscle involves doing Kegel’s exercise. Simply contracting and relaxing the muscle. No special position is needed and it can be done flaccid or erect, but most do it flaccid. Many guys exercise it while driving or at other times when they remember to do it.

Very nice westla,

At best by far the greatest ligature I,ve seen

Wow. I am a newbie to this site. Very informative. By the way!! Love the button.

AKA Rockbird!

:rolling: Why no West not at all!

I just do them while I am driving or working on the computer so they are zero time invested exorcises.

two ways to stop pissing

westla, I’m not sure if I am even using the right muscle or not. When I flex what I think is the bc my asshole clinches up and draws back, although i do feel the muscle flex between my anus and balls when i do this. Recently I started to contract a different muscle down there. When i contract it feels as if I am squeezing together to the middle and up into my body. Since I have started doing this my pisses have been less powerful. I almost have to push it out. Is this a muscle i should be contracting? When I flex this muscle is slows the flow of urine, but not stop it.

It’s common for us to talk about stopping the flow of urine to identify the bulbocavernosus (BC, but also called the bulbospongiosus) muscle. This muscle is involved in the ejection of urine from the urethra, but it is not the one used to stop urine flow. That one is a sphincter muscle (a ring muscle) around the neck of the bladder where the urethra exits to the outside of the body. It is a passive muscle. You contract it to OPEN it and let urine flow. Relaxing it automatically closes it. But talking about stopping the urine flow is an easy way to help someone identify the BC.

Another way is to get an erection and make your penis bounce. Contract the muscle that makes it jump. That’s the BC. No urine involved, no confusion. If you’re making your erect penis bounce, you’re contracting the BC. The BC is the muscle to exercise for firmer erections, a more forceful ejaculation, and one that can be used when you want to prolong your orgasm by not ejaculating. The exercise that does this is the Kegel (as talked about in the first post of this thread).

Contracting the anus when contracting the BC is common. The nerves that transmit the impulses to contact the muscles are all interconnected and contracting one thing usually contracts another. Over time, with practice, you can separate the different muscles and eventually learn to contract only the BC. As far as the other muscle you’re contracting, the one that is affecting your urine flow, I really can’t say what it is. The BC can be felt from the outside. It’s between the scrotum and the anus. If you’re contracting something higher up and inside the body, then it isn’t the BC. You probably aren’t hurting anything, but if your urine stream is not normal then you probably should stop exercising whatever it is that you’re contracting.

BTW, urine is expressed from the bladder by contractions of the bladder itself. You can help it along by bearing down (like for a bowel movement or when holding your breath and contracting your abs), but it usually isn’t necessary to do that.

Thanks for this thread! Only now I begin to really understand my ex’s pussy on a deeper level. On the one hand she could make me cum just by contracting her PC-muscle on the other her pussy would contract when I gave her good licking, that would be BC-muscle then. It looked like it was trying to say thank you or something.

Rock hard

Even though the urethra does have a sphincter (just below the prostate) to stop urine flow, contraction of the BC will “milk” the urethra and let the man know which muscle to use for Kegel’s exercise. The BC muscle can also be felt with the fingers by placing them between the scrotum and the anus. Contractions felt through the skin at this point (in the midline) are from the BC muscle. The illustration “P.C. Or B.C.” shows the relationship of the PC muscle in men as it passes by the prostate and surrounds the rectum (top two images). It also shows the location of the BC muscle at the base of the penis (two lower images).

Ok, based on this description, I think I’ve found it.

When I try to do it, it’s diffucult to hold for more than 5 seconds, and if I do, I get a weird tingling feeling, like when someone hits your funny bone, so intense I can no longer hold it.

Based on this experience, do you guys think I’m doing them correctly?

It’s not unusual to have difficulty holding the contraction when you’re just beginning to do the Kegel exercise. As the muscle gains strength you’ll be better able to keep it contracted for longer periods.

The tingling (especially if it’s like bumping the ulnar nerve or funny bone) would indicate some sort of nerve involvement. Do you ride a bicycle often? You may have some nerve damage from the pressure of the seat. If not, I’m at a loss to explain it.

As a newbie I have been spending a great deal of time reading various threads. The paragraph regarding bouncing the penis has saved me from the confusion about which muscle is doing what. Thank you so much. Now I know and can really start focusing on the BC muscle. Although, for fun and to amuse my wife I’ve been bouncing my erection for years. My problem and where work is needed is actually holding the contraction for any length of time.

I’ve never been an advocate of long contractions of the BC. Regular exercise with holds lasting a few seconds will make it stronger. I don’t see much use in 30 second contractions. That just fatigues the muscle and the point of doing kegels is to give it tone.

Hey , this is correct
But can not squeeze that hard as when squeezing PC and BC together

Btw I’ve noticed that a few male porn stars ( Nacho Vidal) have a very big BC muscle

This is a great post. It answered so many questions for me!

My Kegel routine is like this:
100 1 seconds flexes
50 2 second flexes
20 3 second flexes
1 flex and hold-trying to get up to 20 secs.-currently doing only about 8 to 9, if and when the muscle fails, I wait ten seconds and flex again for about 10.

I’d like to hear some stories about other members stories of successes with shooting further, shooting more or stopping themselves form ejaculating at orgasm. What was your work out routine as well. Thanks

Thank you Westla for this post, I too was confusing the BC and other pelvic floor muscles, but now I got it.

I think the trick is, for everyone who is having trouble finding the BC or doesn’t think they are exercising it right is to kegel while erect. When you are erect and doing kegels, you know for sure you are using the BC, and beginning with this will help you identify and learn, (and definitely strengthen) your BC.

Kegels are great by the way. I have been getting awesome morning woods, and maintained a fatter, meatier dong throughout the day. Another plus is that I don’t have to piss as frequently, especially after drinking, or just in middle of night bathroom visits. I clearly witnessed all these benefits thanks to erect kegels.
