Locating the bc muscle

Hey westla, GREAT post, I would like you to tell how I know if im doing normal kegels or reverse ones, I don’t know how to do the different types.
I learnt how to do kegels by stopping and starting urination.

please shed some light on this for me.

A “reverse Kegel” is simply trying not to contract the bulbocavernosus (BC) muscle. It’s a conscious attempt to relax it. The BC is the muscle you use to test your LOT. It’s the muscle used to make your penis jump when erect. It really has little to do with stopping urination, but it is the muscle you squeeze at the end of urination to get that last bit of urine out of your urethra. The final “squirt” before you put things back in your pants.

Dr. Kegel’s exercise is good for men and women to improve sexual health (as noted in the original post in this thread). Reverse Kegels are not really useful for much, but I can think of two instances where the reverse Kegel has been talked about here at Thunder’s. One is used as a technique in learning about male multiple orgasm, the other is while performing the exercise known as DLD’s Blaster. In that one the thought is if you consciously attempt to relax the BC it won’t automatically pull against you while doing the manual stretching that is part of DLD’s technique which might lead to better stretch gains.

Let me ask something you/
the best way-routine to have
a good BC muscle
and at the same time
a good erection, but also ejaculation control.

I personally start to think
it could be a workout during the day of the BC
(medium force like you said)
and during sex, also a kind of use of the muscle
maybe..not only before the sensation of
the arrive of ejaculation, but during the
whole sex time…(or better, doing some
reps …you know, like one minute of reps
and some pause after..;and so on)
I start to think that, as you said, to fatigue
the muscle a little during sex, can hide the wave
of orgasm and make sex better and more long
lasting…
What do you think?
I heard that Rocco (famous actor) used to push
with two fingers on the bc muscle to prevent
ejaculation…Anyway the bc muscle is so important.
So we need to learn to use it perfectly, I believe…

Has anyone ever considered whether strengthening the BC muscles may be counterproductive for gains? Personally I am afraid that strengthening the BC muscles create a tougher tissue that is more difficult to stretch. I realize that most gains are thought to come from either the ligs or tunica growing, but I have also heard some talk of the stretching of the BC muscles away from their attachment point on the pubic bone.

Forgive the Newbie Dudes….this article is fantastic and explains away many of my mis-conceptions. Being a first timer I’m having a hard time understanding some of these abbreviations (LOT, nbpel, eg, ect, ect, ect….).. Do you have a thread or a message that will help those of us that are real new to this….thanks….

GMO Xmas , my take on the “reverse kegel” is that when you’ve done a normal kegel, to hold it and instead of just letting the muscle relax, to actively push in the exactly opposite direction. It’s very similar to the push of defecation, but more centred in the perineum than the anus.

You do have to be careful though…..

The BC muscles are not attached to the pubic bone. Look at the diagrams Westla provided.

A little more research might help you before you posit a theory.

Tube, I wanted to add that when I read about kegels awhile ago, I heard that strengthening the BC muscle actually increases the length of the penis.

Actually I wonder how much of the initial “easy” gains are due to the stronger kegel muscle? :)

By strengthening the erection that is possible.

Ignoring the improvement from a better errection I think you’ll find most initial gains are from the ligs.

Ya, thats right, I did mention something about my kegel theory in some post somewhere. I think mem has a good point, but I still believe in my anti-kegel scheme about 65%. For me, thats pretty good!

Would it be useless to work the PC muscle ?. I find that its much easier to hold the PC muscle for a minute than it is to hold the BC for the same amount of time.
