Less is more or more is more?

I think that I fall into the more is more category. I got the most gains/month when I was at 5 on/2 off and my total PEing time per session was about an hour with lots of high erection jelqs.


Obsession is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated.

I think no gainers are due to very tough tunicas combined with a slow rate of recovery.

Basically, you have a tough tunica that needs to be worked hard (more is more idea), BUT need a long time to recover. So, if you do more is more, you instantly overtrain. If you do less is more, you didn’t do enough work to stimulate growth.

Nice. For the most part I think your probably right. So which one are you quik4life?

Well, I’m in the “less is more” category, though I somehow always manage to use about 45 minutes each workout. I do 150 jelqs at most in my daily scheme, then basic stretches for 10 minutes and at last 5-6 Ulis if I feel my dick is up to it. Lot’s of IR-heat included (It’s real good for stretching).

Kind of hard to determine what kind of gainer I am , since I’ve only been doing PE for 5 months, but judging from the newbiegains I would say easy for now.

If (and I say IF) this was the case, than one should do longer/more intense sessions spaced by more days of rest. Agree?

In light of the fact that I am a hard gainer I have decided to change up my routine a bit and see how it goes. This routine is more of a hard gainer routine. It may not sound that extreme to many of you, because your already doing something like this or even more intense. What I have been doing is a modified newbie routine;

5 minute warm up/down
20 minutes of stretching
30 minutes of jelqing (started using Cheeva’s method of jelqing at a 10 to 20 percent erection straight down)
2 on 1 off, 3 on 1 or 2 days off.

New routine;

I just started hanging about 3 weeks ago. Started with 5lbs, 3 sets for 15 minutes. I am now up to 7.5lbs, 6 sets of 20 minutes.
And the other thing that I am going to do is Jelq like I was before, but with one major difference. I was doing about 150, 10 second jelqs per session. Now I’m going to cut that number in half (75), but I am not going to take any rest days until I see negative PI’s. If I see no negative PI’s I will slowly increase the number of jelqs. If I get negative PI’s too soon, I will reduce the number of jelqs and intensity. I will also throw in an ADS as much as possible.

I know there are some people that are way more aggressive with there jelqing, but these types of jelqs are very intense. Plus I do tend to get negative PI’s when I over do it with the jelqs. So basically that’s it. Pretty simple…hanging, jelqing (both everyday until I have to take a day off because of negative PI’s). and an ADS. My goal of course is to stay just under the levels of the negative PI. I want to be able to do this routine everyday with no breaks. I will let you know how it goes.

Feel free to let me know what you think. However, at the same time please remember the original goal of this thread…

Also, I will give a progress update on Nov. 1st. I’m not going to measure until then, which will be hard for me because I am a chronic measurer. Lol! I have been stalled with no gains since January. I am hoping that this new routine will snap me out of it. Wish me luck!

Today is Nov. 3rd. One month after I said I was going to change my routine, and I said I would report back here to tell you how I was doing. Well I’m reporting back. I had previously been stalled or plateaued since Dec. of 07. Yes, that’s almost 11 months with NO gains! Well I am happy to say…I’M FRICKEN GAINING AGAIN!!! In the last month I have gained a solid 8th of an inch, but really closer to a quarter of an inch. For the first time I am measuring over 6.75 inches in length and I am closing in on the 7 inch mark. That feels REALLY good! Its been such a long haul.

Unfortunately I was unable to stick to my original routine. Hanger issues and injury held me back somewhat. I ordered a Bib Starter hardcore and I am waiting eagerly to put it to good use. I tried using a vac hanger, but got a very bad blister that led to other things as well. So I went back to my homemade bib. I have had issues with it, but I have been able to keep going. I was unable to do the jelqing portion of my routine because of this injury. So hopefully when it heals and I get my new Bib I will be able to start that part up again.

So basically I got my gain from hanging. I basically hung SO and SU. This month I’m going to hang BTC and SD on advice from bib. Even though I tried this for about three weeks and didn’t see any gains from it. Then I switched to SO and SU and got my gains. I figure I will try it for a month or two and see what happens. The mechanics of this makes sense in my head, and I figure I should be listening to those that know what they are talking about. So hopefully in another month I can report back with more gains. I would LOVE to see 7.25 by the new year! I wont hold my breath, but I will be keeping my fingers crossed! That would make for a very nice x-mas present!!!

So after 11 months of not gaining, and hours upon hours of PE and reading here at thunders…I am finally gaining! Morale of the story? Don’t give up. Find out what works for you and refine your workouts. Eventually you should gain. Find out what kind of gainer you are and take the necessary steps. Take it slow, but steady. Tenacity pays off! :-)

P.S. My new Bib just showed up as I was writting this! Yeah!!!

I’m in the less is more category. That’s right dlm4, that modified newbie routine (that in fact is more or less what I am doing right now), it’s ok until you reach your plateau, then you have to do advanced exercices in order to gain, such as clampling, sandsak slinky and so on.

I recently noticed that 30 minuts of jelqing it’s too much, and I overtrain my penis. So 20 or 25 are less and better. Once I reach 3 months without gains I’ll start with sandsak slinky and V and A stretching. Also I only do 5 minuts of stretching right now, but as I have very little girth my lenght gains are ok.

Congrats for your new gains, keep it up.
