Knowing whether you are limited by Dorsal Thickening/Septum

I’m new here and I was not going to post until I had some weeks of PE experience but this thread has me confused.

I’m not a native english speaker.

Is this “cord” supposed to be like a hard wire/string that runs on the topside of your penis? I personally feel nothing like that but I do feel some hardness inside my penis, like a tube in the middle of my penis, but that is normal, right?

I apologize if this question makes me sound embarrassingly stupid.

I am wondering, at how much weight did you start, at what rate did you progress (+ x lbs / week?) and at what weight did you seemingly gain?

I’ve hanged using a bib starter for three or four months three different times. I started at 5 lbs and when this weight began to feel too light I upped to 7.5 then when this was too light I moved to 10, then 12.5 and finally 15.

I never followed a schedule I just went by feel. I didn’t want to move up in weight too quickly. At the point where a weight would feel light and I could no longer up my number of sets I would continue for another week or so before moving up. When I did move up I only had 2.5 lb weights but I actually like this method because it kind of shocks the tissue and causes fatigue. So I would move from 5-7.5 lbs to eventually 15 over the course of 3-4 months then take a break before starting all over again whenever I had time.

I roughly gained a quarter inch every time I’ve done this, keep in mind I was also using other methods lightly throughout and often times when I could get the hanger setting right would do 30-40 minute sets.

Your English is excellent. You are correct in what you suppose.

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Every man has the septum; it’s an anatomical part of the penis; it’s not optional and it has the important function of protecting crucial nerves. But not all men have the same type of septum/dorsal thickening. Some are more pronounced, vary in length and elasticity. That’s when the limiting question comes into play. I’ve read all kinds of suggestions here but all you need to do really to figure out what kind of septum you have is compare two basic measurements: BPFSL and BPEL. Don’t include the head in the measurement as it is not affected by the septum and therefore irrelevant (and even misleading if included in measurement). We should probably have a poll on this. For instance my stretched length is 0.5” longer than my erect length which basically means that I can still grow another 0.5” before I reach the limit set by the septum. I call this a moderate septum problem. If septum stays the same I may still grow length after this but it would most likely result in a curved penis, since straight lengthening is limited. I speculate that for guys who report “no cord” the difference between flaccid stretched and erect is higher, probably at least 1”. Conversely, guys with a very stubborn septum would probably see no difference between the two measurements or even a slightly negative one (shorter flaccid stretched). I’d like to see some statistics of course.

I’ve started using V-stretches after a strong heating session to make the cord more flexible. My PE routine is jelqing only. I must say, however, that I gained somewhere between 0.5-1” in six months and I have always had the “steel cord” issue. Although the measurement described above is a relatively recent concern - so I cannot compare to what I started with - I must conclude that the septum has already become more flexible through jelqing or it simply developed larger cells to accommodate growth. Let’s not forget that jelqing affects the corpora cavernosa but for the penis to grow in length all the other anatomical parts of the penis need to agree, including the septum. Otherwise I cannot account for my length gains and for the fact that I still have a 0.5” margin left in the septum.

Hello, fellow members!

So after reading 7-8 pages of this discussion, I have a few questions :

1) Will hot water be enough to heat this “cord” or is an IR lamp a must?

2) If one has ESL very close to FSL (which, as far as I understand, is the best indicator of possible dorsal thickening) , would it be a good idea to concentrate on V-stretches and fulcrum stretches, while doing other manual PE exercises only from time to time, since they would only yield little to no gains?
