Knowing whether you are limited by Dorsal Thickening/Septum

I also have this cord, it feels like steel wire. First I thought they were sort of ligaments. They are as strong as can be. Has anybody accidentally broke them?

Can they be stretched? I hope so. It must be the limiting factor, why my dick is not getting longer.

RSDT fulcrum hanging diesel, that’s the answer.

I too have this cord like a steel wire running the length of penis on top. It feels most at the base and is what I try to attack using the V-stretches. I also have a natural high upwards curve when erect and it is approximately the same now as before PE. Despite having this hard cord, I have been able to gain quite some in BPEL, more than 1", but have to apply a LOT force. Sometimes, I am almost scared that I am going to break something but have very few problems with injuries so far.

My stretched penis flaccid size is about 0.3" longer than Erect size and depending on what exercises I have been running the last month (clamping or stretch), it is between 0.1" and 0.5".

Definitely the cord controlling my erect length. No doubt about that.

…I also wonder if this is the difference between showers and growers? My unit expands almost 3.5 times in EV comparing to FV. I created a poll about this some time ago:
EV (Erection Volume) in relation to FV (Flaccid Volume)

It might also be the cause of the difference between people having a natural thicker base girth than mid girth (mine is thicker) and very likely, as already addressed in this thread, the reason why some have high upward curve when erect and some have a downward curve.

Damn…I think we are into something here!

Nah. Most of the people in this thread claim to have the “cord”. I definitely have it, but I too am able to stretch my dick out long and skinny without feeling the cord. It depends on how relaxed I am or how warm my dick is. People who don’t experience the tautness of the cord might be relaxed or warm.

The OP mentioned Saiyan as an example of someone who may not have the cord. I don’t know whether he feels tautness in his cord or not , but in his recent FSL picks I see the same cord running on top of his dick as I see in mine.

Maybe I’m confused or missing something here…but this “cord”…are we talking about the septum?

If so, then I’m quite sure everybody has it. Some might be stronger than others though.

I’m sorry Short Shorts, but I think you have this “cord” (dorsal thickening) confused with your dorsal vein. I say this for two reasons. First of all, you can’t see this “cord” externally. On anyone. Those who have it (including me) report feeling it literally in the very middle of their penises, a feeling more pronounced when it is stretched out. On Saiyan’s pics, you can’t see it. What I think you see that you are confusing with it is his dorsal vein, which we all have. Secondly, many of us with it report not being able to pull our cocks out long and thin (same with me). Instead, when we do so there is still some thickness. Though you report being able to pull yours long and thin. I can’t remember what thread it was in, though I’ll try and find it, but “Tweaking” described this thing in the best way I’ve read so far. It is literally the tunica albuginea of both chambers of corpus cavernosa fused together in the middle, running from a point in my pelvis too deep for me to palpate all the way to the start of my glans. It’s easier to feel as a cord element from the top than from the bottom, as from the bottom is feels more broad.

The only power a woman has over you is that which you give her.

It is in the location that the septum would be (in so far as I know) but it is a thickened version of that. Much thicker.

Thanks Iron.
Someone asked where it is? If I stretch out srtaight and look down it is along the lenght and on top of my penis ( the nearest bit of cock to my nose as opposed to my bollocks) .

Oh ok I see what you are saying. So this “cord” that I have that runs on the top of my dick isn’t what everyone else is talking about? I think a lot of people may be confused then because others have mentioned the cord on the top.

I don’t feel anything in the middle of my dick when I stretch it and pinch my shaft. But I do feel this iron like cord on the top of my dick on some occasions - I always thought it was the S ligament because it connects at the top of the base of my shaft and it feels like a strong cord rather than a vein.

Hey shortshorts. I think others have mentioned dorsal thickening as a “cord on the top” of the penis because it literally is more towards the top of the penis than it is the middle or bottom. Towards the bottom/middle of a cock is the corpus spongiosum which has its own (rather thin) layer of tunica albuginea and the area of tunica albuginea thickening associated with dorsal thickening is superior (closer to the head) to that so it is more to the top of the penis.

Regarding the structure you feel connecting at the top to the base of your shaft, that sounds like the suspensory ligament (or, less likely the funidform ligament). I can feel mine, but it definitely doesn’t feel “cord” like. It feels more spread out and stretchy.

Also, if anyone thinks that I’m wrong here, please let us know. I’d much prefer a discussion where we all come to one sole agreement instead of me spreading information that, unbeknownst to me, is incorrect.

Yep right on the top. I can even see it. Mine is about .5” around by the feel of it, maybe a little more, talk about bullshit!

lmao…Tell me about it. I felt the same way. Sucks how some of us are cursed in life, huh?

Could you guys with dorsal thickening participating in this thread please fill out the poll at To Those Focused on Length Gains Who Have Dorsal Thickening ? Thanks.

From what I’ve read and can tell from my own anatomy, the dorsal thickening runs the entire length of the shaft, roughly from the point where the individual CCs fuse together to the tip of the penis under the glans.

That said, I think it gets thicker as the shaft emerges from the body because fibers of the suspensory ligament invest into the dorsal thickening at this location. The two structures literally merge together. If you pull your penis away from your body and slightly down, you may feel this as a tight cord under the skin right in the middle of the dorsal surface, approximately in the 11 to 1 o’clock position (with the dorsal vein being 12 o’clock).

I’m really surprised to hear that not all guys can feel this structure. I suspect it’s there but perhaps not under enough tension to really be palpable. Maybe if you pulled more downwardly?

For me, this structure has been the principle limiting factor. It’s extremely tight when I pull straight out, or out and down. As I pull up, other factors come into play. There’s a pair of tight structures on the sides.

Given the variability of responses here, I have to wonder whether the dorsal thickening has a higher ratio of elastin to collagen for some guys than for others. My dorsal thickening is quite inelastic. If yours is stretchy, I think you’re probably in a better position to see some length gains. Seriously, my dorsal thickening might just as well be made of bone.

Hey Modesto. Yes, I agree with your description. Though I have to admit that I’m not sure where the two corpora cavernosa physically fuse. I mean, I’ve seen diagrams of them and know where they fuse, but I don’t know physically in my body where that happens. I would think they fuse posterior to the pubic symphysis but I’m not absolutely sure. Regardless, I can definitely feel the “cord” as far deep in as I can comfortably palpate.

I dunno about that Modesto. For fibers of the suspensory ligament to intercalate into the region of dorsal thickening, it would have to somehow pass uninterrupted through the superficial fascia and then the deep fascia (Buck’s fascia) to get to the tunica albuginea (TA) between the individual corpora cavernosa. This is all assuming that we are correct in our thinking that this is tunica albuginea thickening up. If it’s either of the fascias thickening up instead, then you make a good point.

lol, it blows my mind too that some guys don’t have this. One thing I’ve been thinking though: Is this a cause? Or an effect? Do long (accumulated) hours of PE do this (thicken the TA) or do some of us unfortunate people simply come into PE with this condition?

I definitely feel like this is my limiting factor as well.

Nope. Mine is definitely not stretchy. Feels like someone infused a rod of iron into my cock or something.

Mine is like an iron rod also. Total steel cable.
