Guys, pretty cool. So many of you have chimed in.
I think I have already mentioned it above: I do not have a permanent internet access.
Ok, at work I have one, but there it is a little bit too dangerous. :-) I don’t know how red I would become if I answered to a post on Thunders and one of my collegues would watch me over my shoulders. :-) Maybe I would say PE is the abbreviation for “Pacistanian Elephants” and I work for the local zoo (-Voluntarily of course - ) and I have to orangize food for our new elephant baby! :-)
But now, I have a bit more time, so I am going to list things a bit more in detail.
I think it was “Philadelph” who asked the question concerning the number of rest days when you hang.
This Thread was started from my side to discuss this question for jelquing. But, as I also have, besides jelquing, a lot of experience in hanging - though I did and still do a lot of mistakes during all my hang routines and sessions - I can say that rest days are important. But…
… when I was hanging, I experienced the following things:
I started with 14 lbs. Straight Out. Did not become sore any longer after 2 or three weeks. Than I went to 17lbs. Did become enormously sore. BUT: I had to take five days off, after a 14 days-2h per day-routine, due to problems with the skin.
Then, started again with 14 lbs, did not become sore any more after 2 days. Went directly to 17 lbs. Became sore for a couple of days, but then this also vanished. Became frightened, because I knew I have to increase the weight even more, but for me 20 lbs was the absolute maximum. More, for sure, I could not stand. Not because my dick would not have been able to stand it, but the skin / tissue. Because of the increased slipping tendency and the high squeezing degree of you hanger. - By the way I was using a normal Bib hanger. - But, nevertheless, I went up to 19 lbs. Did a Kind of shock routine. That means I hang 20 minutes with 19 lbs. Then 17 lbs and the last 30 or 45 minutes 14 lbs. Soreness: I can say that I felt less sore with this routine than with my beginning-17 lbs-routine, where I had to take a week or so off.
So, my personal conclusion here: Short pauses, more than 1, 2 or 3 days decreased for me the feelings of soreness. So I did not become the confirmation every day from my dick, that I have done a good work-out.
Possible solution for me: Take off a month or even 6 weeks off to “discharge” completely my dick, and avoid then taking breaks.
Actually, I had planned to do this. But then I found these cool videos on Thunders from “Gandolf” which encouraged me to jelq again. I thought it would also be very helpful for the shape of my dick, as it was affected pretty much by my bizarre hanging techniques.
What I learned from Bib, and from this video on Thunders describing a correct wrapping, was the fact that I used too much wrap. Now, I really think it was completely crazy: I used 25 x 2.5 inch of Thereaband, and the same amount of cloth (jogging trouser), wrapped underneath. That is a hell of a lot, isn’t it? (Perhaps with a correct wrapping technique I will hang with less discomfort at even higher weight.)
Maybe, I will go back to hanging, or at least implement it in my jelquing routine. But hanging, up till now, did not show me the results that I looked / look for. But the last that dies is hope.
So for now, I use jelquing to PE. I principally do horses and plumped bents. Yes, I know, they might be dangerous, but normal strokes, no matter how intense they are, do not turn my fella into a worked-out shape. I mean this worked-out shape is especially important for your mind: If you do not see a good worked-out dick after your routine, then this simply tells your mind that you have done nothing. My experience!
How would I describe a worked-out shape after a good jelq session? - From the base to 0.5 inch behind the head your shaft looks pumped up. Then, the next 0.5 inch represent a big donut. Till to the bottom of the head. Your head itself, looks swollen. Jelquers, do you confirm this?
Also, as it has been already mentioned in a post from “Lordbase” above, after your jelq routine your dick has almost its erect length. This, I can confirm. But the length goes back very quickly. As your dick looks very pumped up, = thick, this shortening can look dramatically. I think it is like when you stretch a rubber band. In the moment when you release it, it retracts or retreats. I don’t know the English word for it, but I think you know what I mean. Question here: Is this ok, or does it come from overworking?
Oh, I have forgotten to mention the time that I dedicate currently to PE: 1 1/2 hours per day, two on and one off. Maybe I will go to 3 on and two off. 1 1/2 hours, because a daily 20 min or 30 min jelq session would not turn my weenie into a good worked-out status. My experience! Anybody else who invests so much time in jelqing?
Rest days or pauses: As I wrote it in the posts above: Before, let’s say during the last couple of weeks, I did not take any days off. With the consequence that it became harder and harder each day to push my fella into a worked-out status. A one day break has already made my dick softer and, the worked-out shape, as described above, was more intense. So for the future, I will certainly implement regular rest days. Maybe even more than just one.
But, as I have read funny texts posted in a thread that was started by “Dino9X7”, I can say one thing: It is really difficult sometimes to convince yourself to take some days off. Somebody said: It is like convincing a smoker to stop smoking for some time. :-) After one day off your hands may already begin to shake. :-)
