The start of my PE journey was the hardest for me in my opinion. The lack of belief in what I was doing, the perceived risk, and the ‘slow’ results all feed into a feeling of what I call “Jelqing into The Void”. Basically the state of being that a beginner faces before he has realized any gains and is sure that he is not a fool wasting his time.

It has been really hard to accept my gains. In the beginning I was constantly checking with the ruler every couple of days. This is like trying to measure a tree growing day to day. I treated my practice like and experiment where I would carry out an arbitrary routine and then see if anything happened after 3 months…Then when I got some new readings, they sort of materialized out of nowhere, and I was very skeptical… Hey 1/8 here, 1/8 there. I felt like maybe I was measuring wrong, or my EQ made up the difference. But here I find myself undeniably 0.5” longer and 1/16 - 1/8 girthier…Before I would NEVER see more than 6.125 no matter how hard I was or how hard I pressed the ruler, my girth also was never past 5.5 and the tape ‘relaxed’ …Looking back the time I put in is really not that much. 3 months on the first leg of my journey. and I’m just finishing up the first 6 week period before 1 week of decon to rinse and repeat…

But god damn that first 2-3 months was like Jelqing into the void…

Now its just a matter-of-fact thing that I do. I do PE, my cock grows, sure there may be some snags and strategic changes along the way, but I feel confident that I’m improving and that is what matters most.

The void has taken shape.


Start: Dec 2016 BPEL: 6.125" MEG: 5.5" (5' - 9" 264 lb)

Curr: Aug 2017 BPEL: 6.625" MEG: 5.5625" (5' - 9" 239 lb)

Goal: 7.5" x 6" .....Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Consistently Stretch and Jelq for Size

This is the important part of the struggle.

I go through ruler sprees. Shortly before and after official measurements. But I only show gains if I can show restraint for 4 weeks or more. That’s just fact. A tree growing induces error based on wishful thinking, if you measure it every damn day.

It is not a void. It is a vision, a cloud forming to your desires. And…it’s attached to you.

My big secret? My methods. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *8* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith. Also Fitness helps too.

Start: 5.5" x 4.4" -- Now: 6.5" x 4.6" -- Volume: +32% -- Currently in a 2-mo PE decon break (with no porn & no fap) to give my junk & mind a rest as I try to resolve EQ issues.

I think my main concern as a newbie is permanent injury of some kind. I’m at the very bottom of the normal range of girth at 4”. I’ve been broken up with over it. It’s a demon of mine for sure. It causes EQ issues if I get in my head during sex. I want a girthier unit obviously. For me, if I’m honest.

Yet, a thin penis bears a limp penis any day of the week. If I screw up and cause permanent ED, well I’m worse off than I started.

Jelqing into the void could describe it at times because of how minimal my routine it. I don’t even jelq with the typical grip as I use a c grip to hopefully make it safer.

I can say that after stretching my unit while erect can get girthier, but I don’t measure really. I go by looks and feeling. To be honest I do think it’s a matter of micro gains. It just adds up. I’ll measure in a few months or the end of the year. If no progress I may increase intensity or change techniques. At that point I’ll know what my penis can handle more accurately.

Well if you’re a newbie, you should not do any advanced techniques. Don’t worry, you will not do any permanent injuries with the newbie stuff. Assuming, of course, you do them correctly and not stretch too hard or jelq too hard. I’ve lost size, I got bruises, red spots, discoloration, penis skin flaking(I used a soap as a lubricant, big mistake!) and even got my dick frozen in -25 celsius(funny story, not related to PE) and still no permanent damage penis is well. Of course, it would be better if I didn’t smoke. Also, I used to clamp alot and no damage.So yeah, do them practices correctly and don’t overtrain and you’ll be fine.

I think many of us that go in on the smaller side are right there with you and when you get those first gains the paranoia moves from is this ever, ever gonna happen to, oh god, don’t let me do anything to reverse this precious 1/8th of an inch gain that I think I have - oh god, measure again! Was that for real? Don’t screw it up!!

(Did I mention I really, really hate that the culture has put undue penis size pressure upon the male species? Hate that shit!)

BeardedDragon has written some great stuff regarding that idea and I think hunglikeagerbil & bennett8 leverage the same principle of micro gains with their uber minimal routines that nonetheless put very frequent stress on the unit (this has fortunately worked for me) - it is just hard for a thinking person to believe that PE can even happen much less through these very gradual, low impact techniques.

And I echo everything kdjeet said - the penis is incredibly resilient and I’ve had all the same issues (red spots, numbness, skin issues, swelling, tingles, brushing although thankfully, no frostbite - dude needs to open a thread on that!) with no permanent effect. Takes patience & perseverance and for many, just relaxing into this thing but we’re pulling for you man! (not literally, but you know what I mean)
