If you have a large girth is it really more difficult to gain length

Discuss. Science of the theory and personal experience would be appreciated.

It depends if you are going for ligaments or tunica. I don’t see how it would make much difference personally, especially with ligament work… but good question.

Time to measure girth soon... previously 4.5", been targeting girth for months!

Well according to some logic it’s easier to lenghten something that has less girth than something that has more girth, it’s physics… And that’s widely accepted theory around here. But there are probably exceptions. Let’s wait for more replies. :)

It’s probably easier to gain girh rather than length . So girth has the advantage anyway. On the other hand (no pun) large girth give you more ‘purchase’ so motr pressure can be put on the penis when jelqing or stretching.

So there could be an advantage.

But then it may depend on the strength of your hand, and wrist.

I don’t hang so can’t give an opinion on that.

I understand that logic, but the difference is minimal between 4 inches girth and 6 inches girth. Ligaments just require a good grip, and the tunica requires actual growth of the penis rather than a stretch.

Can having a larger girth make it difficult to grip the ligaments? I seem to be gaining girth but little to no length, the more girth I gain the harder to attach hanger for good grip. I need to tighten down much tighter now to get the same grip as when I started hanging. Does this sound normal? I am 5.5” girth, length seems to come very slow for me currently 6.5” bpel.

Yes. That’s sounds perfectly normal. Being that you have more girth, now, you have more “pushing” against the tightness of the wrap or hanger thus forcing you to incorporate more grip.

It’s my worry that this is the case, which is why I am attacking length now while I have a small girth.

I doubt there’s any truth to the idea. Perhaps more force is required to produce length gains when you have more girth, but it’s easy enough to apply as much force as needed, especially with hanging.

I have a girth of 6+ and it is very hard for me to gain length. I don’t if it was easier if I had less girth

You’ve still gained over an 1” that’s still a great gain.

YES.

Yeah, but that’s apples and oranges. Rubber and steel. It would be better to say it’s easier to stretch a rubber band than a bungi cord. Then you’d be talking apples and apples.

Anyhow, gaining girth doesn’t affect the ligs, right? Taking that in consideration, it should not be harder to stretch the ligs after you gain girth. Of course, the ligs aren’t the only thing you stretch. But I do kind of agree that, if it takes more force, due to a thicker girth, you should just be able to increase force and still gain length. If this is not the case, there must be another factor involved than simply more material to stretch means more force is necessary to gain.

A = 2 * pi * r *h

greater r, greater the area, so greater surface to elongate. Of course greater volume to fill, also.

Are you sure about that formula?

Volume is surface multiplied by height, but surface is not 2 * Pi * r, that’s circumference. Surface is r^2 * Pi. So Volume is r^2 * Pi * h.
