Icing down while stretched

One item in Hobby’s thread about tissue stretching techniques in the medical community is so huge that it deserves its own thread, I think, or it may be overlooked. The recommendation include using an ice-pack after the tissues have been heated and stretch, to basically “cement” the tissues into their stretched form.

I know of very few of us PE’ers who are doing this. Yes, we heat and stretch, but how many are holding the stretch, then adding ice for 10 or 15 minutes to cool down and “cement” the stretch. Could this be a key element many of us are missing? And, for those who have experimented with it — what have your findings been?

I recently read about using Ice from one of MagnumXL’s posts on Thunder’s and thought I might give it a try (which I haven’t yet) after some nice PE stretching excersizes. I think I will give it a shot now very soon because it does make sence to cool down the tissue once it has been stretched to make your body remember the temporary stretched length you just achieved and keep it or something… Also I think you can trust MagnumXL since he invented the great V-Stretch, is a physics, anatomy, and chemistry teacher and went from about 6.5 erect length to 9. He said he would use heat to warm up the ligs and penis and when he was done with his PE he would use some ice cubes to cool down the ligs and penis. He also advocates in taking about a couple weeks to a month break if you hit a plateau, then come back with a fury to PE. So yeah, I think I will give this Ice method a try soon…

Remember to ice WHILE STILL STRETCHED, though! That’s the whole point.

I iced while clamped on my last routine. I haven’t been at PE for a few weeks now. I’m lazy. But I’m pawning it off as a deconditioning break. This technique is indeed something to investigate further :)


Recognize.

I experimented with ice for a while when I was hanging. I used heat on the first half of all my sets. Then on the last set of the day, I would use heat for five minutes and then an ice pack for last 15 minutes. While I don’t know if it made any difference, it does seem like a good idea.

I used to cool down my penis after stretching with freezing cold water for a couple of weeks.

These are my lessons learned:
- its freaking cold ;-))))
- its difficult to maintain a good stretch (at least for me trying to hold penis stretched with hands). An ADS might work good for that pupose.

I don’t know how much of my gains were linked to cooling down (because I was a newbie). I guess it at least didn’t heart my gains.

I started cooling with icy water after my jelq sessions with the idea that it would limit the effects of discolouration. My idea was that the bronze colour is in effect a bruise, and the childhood treatment for a bruise was always an ice pack. It seems to have worked - not 100%, but then I am still doing regular exercises so it would be unreasonable to expect a complete recovery.

If you just hold the cubes under running water for a second and they become wet - then they will definetly not stick to your skin.

You wouldn’t need to apply ice directly, just something cold. You could wrap some ice in a towel, or buy a freezible gel-pack, or use hot-water bottle filled with ice and water.

I’ve never understood the concept of iceing to cement gains. Is it supposed to freeze your penis in a stretched state? I thought that the application of cold causes blood to leave the area. Isn’t our goal for blood to rush to the area? And as far as cooling down the ligs after stretching, cold makes things contract. We don’t want the ligs to contract, we want them to stay extended as long as possible. IMHO, I think it is defeating the purpose.
