I guess one would employee the cooldown technique and monitor progress for 3 - 6 weeks using it. If there are no new gains, then it doesn’t work for you.

The basis behind it working according to this theory is the tissues when heated are going stretch further and liquefy. When you cool it supposedly some of the stretched “memory” is kept.

IC, I might have to try cool down as one of my next experiments

Clamping could have some parallels with BFR Blood Flow restriction training on the cellular level.

The question is, could heat and/or cooling exert positive or negative influences on the biochemical effects
that are supposed to be happening due to BFR ?

I’ve mentioned it elsewhere, but I want to keep this thread alive and say I’m beginning a prolonged trial of the cooling aspect of this. I’ve clamped for nearly 18 months off and on, and had some gains, but never consistently cooled while clamped.

This week I’m beginning with a 5/2 cycle of heated clamping for one decently long set right when I wake up (usually morning wood is a factor as well), and this time I’m dunking in a pitcher of cold water with a good hard clamped kegel for a few minutes after each session.
