Gains stalled - what best to do?

I have stopped gaining via my usual method (ADS and light jelq). I have upped the pressure of the ADS to try and kick start the gains again. Upping the jelq does not seem to have any effect as I don’t seem to gain by that anyway - it’s why I only do a light morning shower jelq.

My question is; what should I do, take a break and then go back to my routine that has in the past worked after a few months and hope that it works again, or change direction?

I feel I probably need some sort of break as my EQ has not been maximum but don’t know if I should take a week or a few months.

My routine has not yielded any gains for well over a month (probably more like 2 to 3) where at the start I had visible ruler gains on every months measure.

I’d like some advice please.

Maybe deacon break, some new exercises or reduced intensity would work?

How long a break would you suggest?

I think I may have overdone it in an attempt to restart gains so a break in certainly in order but how long for? 6 months? A few weeks? What would benefit the most I wonder.

I myself would suggest 2 weeks. 6 months sounds too long.

Hi Reggib,

If your routine has consisted only of light jelqing and an ADS then perhaps you should consider a change of routine.

There are many more advanced routines waiting in the wings.

So it might - in the first instance- be worth having a look at the Tutorials Forum where you cans see various other exercises, which might fit in with your situation where you live.

It also depends on how light your jelqing is .Although we recommend you start off jelqing with a light grip it may be, you need a liiile more pressure. But that depends entirely on whether your unit can take more energy applied to it.

If you think you have reached the limit in pressure that your dick can tolerate, then some other exercises which involve more pressure may not be ideal. In whish case, perhaps trying a pump would be a help, as even with light vacuum gains can be registered.

So do have a look round and, of course don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any doubts or want more information.

Ah, the art and science of decon breaks…

Are you focusing on length or girth (or both)?

A break may be in order, and when you resume, start at a level lower than you used before the break.

One gauge for the duration of your decon break would be an improvement in your EQ.

Another would be to monitor your size and resume when you gain flaccid stretched length (BPFSL) or if you start seeing your size decrease.

Another would be more subjective. If your penis is feeling tough and fibrous (some have compared it to feeling likebeef jerky!), wait until it is feeling more elastic and supple again.

I think you answered your own question. If your EQ is suffering, then it is time for a break. Take some time off until your EQ returns to normal. Then wait a little more, like a couple of weeks, and slowly work back into a routine. If you can, during your time off, completely put PE out of your mind and just enjoy the break.

Mister007: Your advice seems to reflect everyone else’s that replied. Not to take an extended decon. I’ll give it a go.

Petit: I’d love to try a pump but privacy is an issue with wife and kids etc. My jelq was not so much light but intense over a short period of time in the shower. I find it very hard to get any sort of routine as again, privacy is a big issue. That’s why ADS is so good for me (as well as psoriasis problems that I tend to get with some other methods - I wrote about it in another thread).

Lampwick: Thanks - your advice sounds good. I was thinking of perhaps taking a long decon break and see if I can get some fast gains in the winter but the fast gains may well be the gains that I lose by taking a long break! Tricky!

That’s interesting. Is that likely to happen? I have noticed that I seem to have “filled” my BPFSL - it was always bigger than my BPEL but now they are the same (I was wondering how I could make gains as the BPFSL was not increasing any more). Are you saying that break might cause my BPFSL to gain a bit?

I just don’t want to suggest long deacons. I think 2 weeks is fine. Maybe it’s because I heal very fast. Yesterday I took my ADS off and it was turtling and I couldn’t get an erection, but this morning I got very hard morning wood and everything is fine again.
