Flaccid Length and Girth are CRAP after Workouts

There are days when I have a really nice flaccid length and girth. BUT, after a good workout, I get in the locker room, and my shit is tiny.

I have pretty damn good length and girth, but I get really frustrated after a workout. I see these skinny dudes with solid flaccid hangs, and I have turtled to a very low number.

My question is the following: seeing as blood flow INTO the penis is what allows for flaccid hang and erect length and girth; is the fact that after a really good workout, blood is flowing to all of the OTHER parts/muscles of my body, the factor that is impacting my “post workout” flaccid length and girth?

I’m pretty sure this is the case, but I’m wondering if someone can enlighten me on this?

I have the opposite experience—my flaccid is always much bigger and hangs much better after a workout.

I hear if you get a lot of shrinkage it can be an indicator of overworking things. I don’t know much about what you’re doing though, so that’s a shot in the dark.

When I think about it, I find my flaccid is smaller when I hit the weights and heavier when I do cardio.

The “pump” that you experience in muscles during a workout is the intense feeling of blood rushing into the affected region of the body. You have a limited supply of blood, if more goes to your biceps, less must be somewhere else. You might also experience this after eating. Skinny people don’t have much to do with their blood, basically :D .

My flaccid shrivels after peing and I’ve gained .5” so its not about how it looks its more about how it feels. I never get the pumped feeling after peing but I make sure that I can get atleast 90% erect to see if I overtrained.

I think he’s talking about non-PE workouts, like lifting weights etc. I always gets a smaller flaccid during and after workouts, whether it’s running or weight training. It’s completely normal. I also got smaller after PE workout when I was a newbie, that’s when I gained the most.

Ok—I misunderstood. And I agree, of course your penis shrinks when you work out—your blood flow gets pulled to your cardiovascular system and into your muscles—and out of your nether regions.

If you want a monster flaccid even while working out, most people (myself included) need a lot of hardcore PEing to achieve that I think…

In truth, locker-room self-consciousness is probably the biggest PE motivator for me.

I’m the same.

My penis becomes embarrassing after working out and I do my best to hide it.

It just shrivels down to nothing, infact most of it retracts into my body and hides away, almost making me look the dude from ‘Silence of the Lambs’ with his dick inbetween his legs.

I think the bigger build you are the more pronounced the effect on penis shrinkage after a workout.

In addition to the blood-flow issue that others bring up, I think that the shrinkage that occurs with a workout may have to do with the autonomic nervous system. (After all, the volume of blood required to maintain a decent flaccid hang is trivial.) I would assume that working out, whether weights or cardio, tends to get the sympathetic nervous system (the “fight or flight” system) going, which constricts penile arteries and inhibits erection. The parasympathetic division (the “rest and digest” system), on the other hand, when stimulated, relaxes the penile smooth muscle and causes dilation of the penile arteries.

It’s possible that some of the other guys in the locker room have better flaccid hangs because they relax more quickly after their workouts. Many of us PEers are probably unusually self-conscious about exposing our penises to other people, and this nervousness, even if it’s experienced only at a low level, has the ironic effect of causing shrinkage, which makes us further self-conscious in the future, perpetuating a bad cycle :( The same thing is true with sexual situations of course; psychological impotence occurs when stress or anxiety prevents us from staying in the calm, vegetative state needed for the parasympathetic input that induces erection.

Thanks, Para and everyone else. I’m not too surprised to hear these “findings”. It does make sense. Although, I didn’t start to PE because of the locker room. I started, initially, to “make sure” that I was/am, (hopefully), the biggest my wife has had.

Since that time, I realize that I am on the large side of average, to large, and that she loves ME like no other. So, now it’s all about ego, pleasure for the both of us, penile health until I am six feet under. ;)

(My workouts, often, are hot yoga. I am VERY relaxed, but my whole body, including my chest and thighs, get quite a pump)
