I’ve lost about 12 lbs. and an inch off my waste line yet I see no new NBPEL, why?

I thought 10 lbs. got you some NBPEL? Is there a limit to how much fat pad you can loose or in other words can you reach a minimum fat pad and not have it lessen any more?

I’m pretty lean. Actually very lean now. I weight about 182 lbs. My body fat is low. I have a visible 4 pack.

Anyway, thought I’d see some extra NBPEL.

What’s the difference between your BPEL and NBPEL?


Start - BPEL 16.9cm (6.65") - MSEG 12.4cm (4.88")

Now - BPEL 18.8cm (7.40") - MSEG 12.9cm (5.07")

LONG Term Goal - BPEL 20.5 (8.07") - MSEG 14.6 (5.74")

If you’re seeing just a 4-pack then you have a ways to go. I’d guess you’re under 12-15% depending on how big your abs are. Focus on getting under 10% and holding your bf there for a few months.

I’m currently fighting the fat pad. I’m probably 20% bf with a lot in my belly so my fat pad is about 1.5 inches. On the plus side, it’s great inspiration to get cut as loosing weight is easier/quicker than gaining an inch in length.

Current: (6/24/14): 7 3/4 bpel (7 nbp) x 5 5/8 mseg. BEG 6 1/4. BPFSL 8 1/8.

Goals: First: 7 1/2 bpel x 5 1/2 mseg ACHIEVED! Current Goal: 7 nbp x 5 3/4 mseg (almost there!)

1/4” is a pretty thin fat pad. I doubt it can get much thinner.

That’s what I figured. That’s why I’d assumed there was a limit like you can’t get to 0” fat pad.

I have been thinking about this as well. I have 3/4 inch fat pad, so I guess I could gain half an inch by dieting. The thing is that I’m not really overweight at all. I’m 6’ and 190. I guess it’s time to hit the treadmill.

I’m 6’ and 180ish. When I was 190ish I had the same 1/4” fat pad. I think its genetic make up of how and where my body disperses fat. When I get really lean I loose fat in my waste and groin area followed next by my thighs.

If it’s that thin then it’s water retention mostly. Drink 1-2 gallons of water and avoid heavily salted food then report back to us.
