I’ve recently started a clamping routine. Within the first week I gained 1/8” and then another 1/16” in the second week. During these first two weeks I clamped every day. After feeling myself stall at the end of the second week, I backed off the clamping and switched to some jelqing in the third week. I only clamped once and actually hit a new high for expansion. I was out of town over the weekend and took three days off completely. I’ve clamped Monday-Wednesday of this week and am getting less expansion than the new high I hit the previous week. It’s actually a hair less than my average coming off of the second week and hasn’t improved.

Weeks 1-2:
Excellent flaccids
Strong, frequent erections
Consistently improving expansion in the clamp and endurance between sets

Small flaccids
Very weak erections
Stalling expansion and no endurance
No growth

This is consistent with what has happened to me. Before you say that I need a break, I want to point out that when I grew, I was clamping every day, sometimes multiple times per day. Now, immediately after taking three days off, the most since resuming this routine, all my PIs are terrible. Can anyone speculate on why this might be?

I’ve got one other thing to add that could be a factor. Before starting this routine, I masturbated the previous two days. Before that, I hadn’t masturbated in an entire month (just to see if I could). I was also not looking at porn at all. I’ve recently been looking at porn while clamping just to help with the weak erections. I’m just tossing this out as a possibility, but maybe I pushed a little too hard and depleted myself sexually, so-to-speak.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, I just noticed a mistake but it’s too late to edit. The first sentence of the first paragraph after the comparison checklist is incomplete. What I meant to say is that my recent experience is consistent with what I’ve experienced when gaining or not in the past. Big flaccids and frequent erections have come with growth and small flaccids and weak erections have never come with growth that I can remember. I think that keeping the penis in an extended state, whether this be longitudinally or laterally is important, maybe even absolutely necessary for gains. So, the more expansion and the plumper/longer the flaccid, the more likely gains will follow. In a nutshell, I think that the PI theory is accurate but I think there might be more to the story than the penis just being overworked or not. I did some more thinking after posting and I’m going to do some experimentation over the next few days and see what I can contribute. I think I have an idea of how to get this working in my favor again.

Edit: It’s sad that I’ve been on this site for 5 years and have only racked up 200 posts.

Two things come to mind:

It might be a good idea to take a look at other factors in your current life that might pertain to your recent, lower EQ. Change in sleep patterns or general exercise? New stresses. Any sort of life change.

You are measuring in tiny increments like 1/16th and over a period of only a few weeks. My experience during active PE was that any temporary increase, if I stuck with my usual program, later turned into a cemented gain, reappearing regularly.



If you are like me, you will absolutely see a decrease in max BPEL following ejaculation. The decrease from what I consider normal lasts a day or two.

On the flip side, my BPEL is unusually larger when I haven’t ejaculated for more than a week or so. I think you may be seeing a confluence of those two phenomena.

I should have mentioned in the first post that I’m usually extremely consistent in measurements. When I’m PEing and measuring, it’s very uncommon for me to take a measurement, whether in length or girth, that deviates much from the norm. The only exception to this is if I was to measure immediately after a workout. Also, during the first two weeks, my expansion in the clamp perfectly followed growth in EG. I started PE about 6 years ago and have done it off and on and this is consistent with my experience in the past when growing. For whatever reason, my measurements are extremely consistent which is probably a good thing.
