Dry Vs. Wet Jelqing?

I have never really tried dry jelqing before but since my current lube for wet jelqing is regular baby oil that doesn’t have much of a consistency at all I am thinking maybe I could just drop the lube all together.

Is there anything negative about dry jelqing? I have a lot of extra skin even though I am circumcized that will slide, etc.

With the extra skin you should have pretty good luck with dry. I have switched more to a dry jelq because sometimes wet jelqing seemed to turn into a form of masturbation, not a workout.

I like RB’s method in this thread. It puts pressure directly on the corpora cavernosa and avoids the corpus spongiosum and dorsal nerve areas.

I dry jelq, but I still use lube to reduce irritation of the skin, and for getting nice quick erections. I also use baby oil for lube, and think it’s great!

Damn, just did my first dry jelq session! Although it is different, I prefer it to wet jelqing. My hands don’t get all messy, and it feels more like jerking off IMO. :)

It’s still dry jelqing, because of the way I’m preforming the exercise. I suppose you could call it Dry-Style Wet Jelq if you want to be technical about it.

Red - are you referring to the way you hold your hands or grip the penis? Wet is lubed and dry is without lube. I don’t understand how you can do both at the same time.

Do you dry jelq by having both hands on penis at once, in that upside down C shape, one of hands at bottom and other on top of that, and move them both up at same time, the moving them both back down to the base, taking 3 seconds for each stroke and repeating, without removing your hands from penis?

Honestly, I get pumped only by wet jelqing. I have gotten no effect with dry jelqing whatsoever. Granted I have only tried dry jelqing about 3 times in my entire PE career, I don’t even get a “pumped” feeling after I am done with dry jelqs. But, I’ve heard dry jelqing works better- so why on earth can’t I see results with dry jelqing????

You need to be at least semi-erect to feel the true effectiveness of a good dryjelq IMHO. Have you tried it in this state?

Dry Jelqing seems to be much more intense for me. Wt posed the same problem I initially had with dry Jelqing. Peforeal answered him correctly.

And as for me I use a fleece blanket to maintain a good erection. Fleece is so damn soft it’s perfect for maintaining the right erection levels.

Also I put a rubber band around my shaft and down around the under side of my balls. This really makes it swell huge.

Anyone have any experence using a rubber band while jelqing?

Hey sorry I didn’t reply guys, this thread slipped past my recent thread radar somehow.

Ok, the reason I called them dry-jelqs is because despite the fact that I have lube on, I’m not using it while I’m jelqing, it just reduces skin friction etc. I am not sliding my hand along the shaft, I am grabbing firmly and pulling the skin along with my stroke. The lube is just for comfort and for getting quick erections again when levels drop.

So I am now calling them Dry-Style-Wet-Jelqs. And they are the foundation of my routine.
