“Donut” Prevention - Another Wrap Suggestion

(NOTE: THIS IS A COPY OF A THREAD I’VE RECENTLY POSTED IN THE PUMPERS FORUM. I’M INCLUDING IT HERE FOR ALL OF THE NON-PUMPERS SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS TO COMBAT THE “DONUT” (FLUID BUILDUP) PROBLEM. THERE IS SOME ADDITIONAL EDITING TO THE ORIGINAL THREAD):

If while pumping or jelqing you have a tendency to get the fluid buildup “donut” effect, here is a wrap suggestion/product to help you avoid the problem.

The product that I’ve been experimenting with and have found quite useful for this purpose is the ACE SELF-ADHERING BANDAGE, which can be purchased at most pharmacies, Walmart, K-Mart, etc. It is a 2-inch wide, self-adhering, stretchy, non-stick fabric wrap/bandage (usually sold in 4 ft lengths). A roll in Hawaii sells for about $3.79, and it may be cheaper in other parts of the country. Some stores also carry non name-brand similar products for a lesser cost which also work. Look for the “self-adhering” variety.

What I do is to get erect and then wrap the self-adhering bandage directly below my glans(penis head) using about an 8-inch length or so. You can wrap as tight as you deem necessary, stretching the bandage as you wrap around your penis and adhering it to the section below it. There is no need for any other tape, as the bandage really does adhere very well to itself. It is comfortable to wear, resists coming apart even when wet, does not stick to your skin and does prevent the wrapped area from experiencing unwanted fluid build-up. Adjust tightness for comfort as necessary.

1) READ THIS IF INTERESTED IN “JELQING/SQUEEZING/ AND DONUT PREVENTION”:
After wrapping below the glans with your self-adhering bandage, perform your regular dryjelq or squeeze routines. Then be sure to leave your wrap on for at least 1/2 hour or more to ensure that the “donut” effect has been prevented. Unwrap and continue on with your non-PE life or you can leave the wrap on as a kind of passive stretch mechanism on your dick.

As an alternative, you can do all of your jelqing/squeezing routines first and then wrap below your glans with the bandage to restrict and constrict any potential “donut” fluid buildup.

2) READ THIS IF INTERESTED IN “VACUUM PUMPING/ AND DONUT PREVENTION”:
I’ve found this wrap particularly useful when I want to get aggressive with my pumping and choose to pump for extended periods of time under slightly higher pressure. Without the wrap, I would normally experience the “donut”, but I can prevent this phenomenon with the wrap.

Another important outcome with the self-adhesive wrap under the glans is that it enables the glans (head) to get pumped even larger above the wrapped area. This is beneficial for those individuals trying to expand the size of their heads even further.

When I’m done pumping, I leave the self-adhesive wrap on for at least 1/2 hour or longer. This helps to ensure that the “donut” effect is kept in check, and it also helps in increasing the pumped expansion to the other non-wrapped areas of the penis. Also, leaving the wrap on for awhile keeps your penis stretched out passively for another benefit.

When you remove the bandage it can be re-used again for several sessions. Just stretch it back out, let it dry and reuse the next time. This has been the easiest, cheapest and most reliable method I’ve found to combat the “donut” effect.

It’s not that unusual. In my early days of pumping, that used to happen to me. You can always accelerate the elimination of the “donut” by using the wrapping technique I suggested above. Try it and see how it works for you the next time.

Hey peforeal. I had this happen to me as well yesterday while hanging SO but I’ve been told that it wasn’t the donut effect but just a buildup of lymph fluids. I already have that same bandage you speak of. Is it ok and/or effective to do this while hanging? If so, that would mean I don’t have to use my cloth underwrap anymore because I’ll just wrap this from head to base. But I don’t know if I’d be able to get erect after I warm up and before I hang because my computer is upstairs and well….so is my dad. Thanks for the tips peforeal.

Well I am doing a clamped girth work routine alternated with jelqing between sets right now. I think the bandage may hinder me during the workout, but I am definately going to try it afterward to reduce time with donut.

I’m not an experienced hanger, so I can’t comment with too much details on your question. Wrapping your entire dick with the Ace bandage first and then attaching your hanger may work, but you’d have to check out the comfort level of your dick with the hanger and weights attached.

Whether you’re “donuting” or getting lympy fluid buildup, they are both similar effects on your dick. So, wrapping even after you’re done hanging could help you reduce the fluid buildup problem quicker, rather than just waiting for your body’s natural fluid distribution to reset itself to normal.

Yes, wearing the ACE bandage will interfere with your standard jelqing sessions. So, as you indicate, wearing it afterwards to accelerate donut reduction sounds like the way to go.

Looks like there will be no pics of the Donut. When I started to get it, I put some pressure on it with my hands. Then after my session (which I cut a little short because I need to be able to get it up tonight), I wrapped tightly below the glans. Took it off and wrapped again. It looks like I am not going to get a donut! Good stuff!

peforeal, are you saying to wear the wrap in the pump, or to use it after you are done pumping?

Also, if you are wearing it inside the pump, are you still lubricating your entire shaft?

Yes, I wear the wrap while in the pump and leave it on for awhile after I’m done pumping just to be sure no fluid buildup in the area occurs. The extra compression also helps me get better girth gains too in that area which is the smaller part of my tree-trunk shaft.

The area below the wrap experiences better girth gains? Any idea why this is? I’m just confuesed because I would think it would not be able to expand as much as the rest of your shaft. What about wrapping the whole shaft if that is indeed the case?

I do not have the scientific explanation for my experiences, but it seems to work for me. Perhaps it has something to do with competing internal (pumping) and external pressures (wrapping). There have been other posts about using a condom while pumping to achieve a similar effect, but the compression from the condom wasn’t sufficient for me to get any kind of noticeable result.

Obviously, the unwrapped area of my shaft will expand much more under the pump, and it may seem at first that all I’m doing is magnifying the different sizes of the two areas. But when I unwrap, although the wrapped area is initially smaller in girth, after a few minutes, it adapts to a fuller state than pre-pumped. It’s also probably fluid redistribution, but it is bigger.

I will be experimenting with wrapping my entire shaft and pumping. I don’t mind being my own guinea pig and sharing my observations with all of you guys.
