Does "edging" help?

Did anyone overcome premature ejaculation because of edging? I’ve tried doing it for a month or even more and I don’t feel it helped. I mean, I can last almost as long as I want during intercourse, but the problem is I either have to slow down or stop. Sometimes this comes in a bad moment (the girl is almost ready to orgasm and I suddenly stop).

I want to be able to not only last as long as I want, but also be able to go as fast as I want. Is it impossible?

Also, did anyone gain something in terms of penis growth from it (either length or girth)? Does it at least help with getting the BPEL to match your BPFSL (in time of course)?

Edging (in a clamp) can definately help increase size.
In terms of edging to help you last longer, I have a similar problem, having to stop for a second or two or slow down really can kill the sex. Most of the girls I’ve been with have loved it so much more when its hard and fast but I cant seem to desensitize myself to go very long like this.

Never had a premature ejaculation problem, I always knew when I was likely to come and could stop.
Sorry to not be of any help. It seems the only way I can overcome it is by using desensitizing gel, but I’d like to fix it permenantly too.

Now, I don’t know if I really have premature ejaculation. I just meant that I feel like ejaculating sooner than I would like to (I don’t ejaculate if I don’t want to, but I do have to stop… or something).

Usually I edge for no less than 30min, without a clamp (not targeting girth at the moment).

Hey guys, do a search on kegels. Strengthening up the BC muscle can help you last a lot longer. When starting your kegel exercises, be smart about it. Do quality kegels and you won’t have to do so many and don’t over work the BC or you may have another problem for a couple of weeks and that is weak erections. A strong BC can make your erection very stiff and during intercourse you can squeeze the muscle to keep you from ejaculating to quickly.

How much exercise do you actually have to do to be able to do this squeeze though? I’ve read it is VERY advanced.

Must add also that I do do a light kegel routine, but not anything major. Never really understood how I could train it so hard that I could prevent ejaculation temporarily

But I am reading here more and more often that Kegels can lead to premature ejaculation and about people having a hard time trying more or less successfully to fix this with reverse Kegels?

I was just talking to another member about this not too long ago. We both did kegels pretty frequently while masterbating and after not too long it became an involuntary thing and we both ended up coming quicker. I would literally kegel very frequently everytime I had sex with no control, I couldn’t really stop it. I guess it is one thing to kegel at the right time to clamp off the feeling of ejaculation, but it is my “opinion” that if you do them constantly then it will lead you to come much quicker. I have just recently starting doing kegels again and now I only do them when I am not having sex or masterbating, I’ll learn how to use tntjockey’s technique when my BC muscle conditioned.

If you do a search on TP you will see that there are two groups of people in terms of opinions on kegels. Some say kegels are great, help with lasting longer, hardness etc. However there is a smaller percentage who say that kegels gave them premature or ejaculation and ruined their lives (been there lol). I believe that the people who say this did their kegels like I did (during sex or masterbation).

Reverse kegels did help me fix my involuntary kegels, but it was harder than it sounds because it took awhile for me to figure out what the problem was. A reverse kegel will keep you from doing a kegel, I often use them now to make sure that I don’t kegel at all when I am close (still happens a little) and I feel that they help me last a little bit longer. Lol these are just my thoughts, watch I’ll probably be proven wrong by a moderator in 15 minutes ;)

I was on zoloft once for anxiety and I can tell you that after about a week on it, it was almost a chore to ejaculate.

When I asked my doctor about it, he laughed and told me a joke about a guy who goes on zoloft for anxiety but when he was cured his wife wouldn’t let him go off :) , so I think it’s a pretty common side effect.

Sometimes its better to just let it go and start in again. If you allow yourself to to just cross over the threshold, sort of a mini-orgasm, then the sesitivity goes away and you can take much more sustained stimulation. It requires that you have a lot of sustained arousal before you let go.

I’ve done this several times during sex and sometimes masturbating. If I am sufficiently aroused I can still keep an erection and continue fucking indefinately, but with reduced sensitivity. The key is to not completely let go and blow your wad, but to hold back at just the right moment and then let go before the urge to cum has completely subsided.

Yeah I have done that a few times too, but do you really think its reliable, or even that practical? You usually aren’t as hard if it even works at all. If your girl isn’t on the pill the condom could break or at least has a much lower success rate if your fucking her with your jizz already in the condom. I say its better to make it work through edging and a stronger BC muscle so that you can be sure of yourself and your abilities, if not your technique is always an option, especially if you can hold back almost all of your sperm when you kegel.

RandomGiant, if you want, post what I PM’d to you, and maybe this may invite the vets to either agree with it or not, either way, information will be past on or experiences. I really don’t care if anyone agrees or disagrees, but it may open things up to this question, and y’all can use what you can out of this. I have never practiced kegels while masturbating, in fact I really can’t remember the last I masturbated. I am married and have a very active sex life. Lets get to the kegels. In my opinion and I may be wrong, but I think your body has gotten used to kegeling and masturbating and associates the two together and causes you to cum much quicker than you desire. Okay lets try to fix your problem. let try a couple of things okay?

No more kegeling and masterbating at the same time unless you are doing it for girth and to strengthen the BC and that is the Edging exercise. This may possibly dis-associate kegeling and masturbating and your body may learn to use the kegels in the opposite way and use them to stop you from cumming. Start the edging exercise and do not kegel until you fill that urge and stop stroking your dick and squeeze the muscle until the urge goes away and repeat it as many times you like, but remember you have to have self-control and not to let it cum and know when to stop stroking and start squeezing the BC. Does this make sense so far? This can be used for girth too if you do the edging with a clamp on. Remember, when you are finished edging, just stop and don’t cum, just walk away.

My wife and I go for a walk after PE and I also kegel then. Kegel without any other form of exercise, do 10 holding then for 2 seconds and releasing and hold one for, lets say 5 seconds to begin with. Do 5 set at first and slowly built that. Make sure you kegel are quality kegel and not bullshit kegels.

During sex, you have to know when to kegel, and what I mean when you a slit inclination that you may cum, kegel and hold it tight while moving. But this may take awhile to get to this point since you still have to strengthen the muscle and to teach the body a different association.
