I’ve been reading through the hangers forum, and it seems you guys use a much larger amount of tension, upwards of 3kg. Even at the start it is over 2 kg.

But you use much less time?

It is recommended that one wear the extender 8 hours a day, and in the traction studies the tension used was between 1.2 and 1.5 kg. Now with the extender I bought, the minimum tension was around 1.8kg, and the max was 3.2kg. Yet still I am advised to wear it 8 - 10 hours a day.

Is it safe to hang for 8 hours a day?

Well first off I would like to state that my theory may be false but I think it is correct.

It would be impossible for the makers of your extender to come up with an exact figure on how much tension the penis absorbs at each level. Larger penis’ should feel less tension at lower levels than a smaller one would. That being said, your comparison of hanging to extenders is not accurate.

I have never tried hanging so I am not sure exactly what it would feel like. I do know what it feels like to wear an extender for long periods of time at maximum stretched levels. It is not pleasant. You will feel extreme discomfort from this, and I only imagine that the discomfort would be worse with hanging.

If you are going to wear an extender for up to 8 hours per day your main resposibilities should look something like this:

- Condition your penis by working up to the 8 hours per day (start fairly low)

- Wear the extender at a low level. I read that you should start around 4-5cm below your BPEL.

- Keep your penis warm the whole time. You will have to have lots of time in between those 8 hours to heat your penis with jelqs, heat pad, etc..
Make sure your penis does not go cold

- Pay much attention to your penis the whole time it is extended

This to me does not sound like it should be recommended to anybody unless they have a lot of experience with PE and extenders. Also, if wearing an extender for 8 hours a day requires this much attention think of what hanging requires. Not only is the force greater but you would have to wrap and unwrap yourself 100 times a day. It is not practical at all.

Your question was “Is it safe to hang for 8 hours a day?”. So I would assume that it is not. If it is it would be very, very inconvenient. I am thinking you meant to ask a different question but I am not sure. So hopefully I have been able to answer your questions or helped you to figure it out yourself. By the way, if you have inexperience with hanging or extending do not attempt either for 8 hours per day. It will most likely only lead to injury.

It is possible to get a reasonably exact figure, the length of the penis does not play a part in the tension. You add bars till you reach the desired length then adjust screws until there is a certain amount of pressure on the springs which is gauged by lines on the side. Once the springs are compressed to a certain line, that is a definite tension. No matter what penis length, whatever line the springs are compressed to, that is the tension the penis is under.

I’ve been using my extender since January, slowly building up to 8 hours a day. Now I can do 8 hours no problem. Also in the studies conducted the participants used it up to 8 hours a day.

It is the fastsize device. That is the minimum amount of force require to slightly compress the springs.

I have actually put different springs in to lower the tension so I can wear it at 1.2kg to 1.5kg tension.

Sounds like you have a very advanced extender. I am confused though. You place a strechted length, then you add the spring tension? So it pushes past your set stretched length?

The tension used is a secondary factor with extenders. Generally the range is 1-4 lbs. First times the device is worn with little or no tension. 1.2 sounds still an high tension for an extender. I don’t know the specific device, anyway.

I’ll find some photos and point out the relevant parts. It is pretty standard to extenders, the Fastsize is not any different to the others.

Marinera - Tension below when the springs are compressed is an unknown quantity. Definitely it would be below 1.8kg but the manufacturers advise that the springs should be compressed slightly. It is the primary factor. It was the primary factor in the various studies done with extenders also. They did not go by the length of the stretch, they went by the amount of tension the penis was under.

1.2kg to 1.5kg was the tension used in the studies I mentioned. I would go find them but ive hit my limited ith regards to bandwidth and am capped to 56k modem speed. Oddly thunders is one of the only sites that loads in a reasonable time.

One important difference is in the concept of each: With extenders you stretch your penis to X length and you keep it there, leading to stress relaxation. With hanging the penis is extending witn no relaxation . I think what we have with hanging, judging by things mentioned earlier, is creep. If I’m mistaken, please correct me.

Not entirely true. From what I have read, you are meant to stretch to a tension, not a length. If I am stretching my penis at 1.2kg of tension, over time it will stretch out and lower that tension. At that point I can either up the tension to keep it at 1.2kg (which would mimic hanging I guess), or leave it.

Yes, what you say is true but it’s still analogous to extending your penis to a desired length. Because as you said you’re extending it to a certain tension, if you keep it there, it will reduce tension(Stress relaxation). Just like you’re extending it to x length(at which it could be more or less tension), after a while it relaxes.

I personally never measure the length I am stretched at, only the tension. The studies say 1.2kg to 1.5kg of tension, that is what I do. When I notice the tension has gone down (due to the penis stretching) I increase the tension till it is at 1.2kg to 1.5kg.

So no the stretched length of the penis does not come in question. What hanging woud have over an extender is a definite consistency of tension (if you don’t move around).

How and why?

Physics says he is not. If I am adjusting the tension when I notice it drops lower, that means it is at a semi constant level of tension. The semi is because of the slight dip in tension before noticing it has dropped. I covered this in the previous post.

It comes down to something as simple as this.

We have point A (point of contact with the penis, the noose), point B (base of the device) and gauge C, the tension in the springs.

If the spring is under tension of 1.5kg, then the penis between point A and B is under tension of 1.5 kg. This is very simple, it should not be hard to understand.

Yes there will be slight variation due to the elastic nature of skin and the fat pad, but these will be slight variations, miniscule in fact. These variations would also come into play with hanging.
