Hi there, TG here again. Now with the last part of “Deconditioning” I want to talk about the last part that is the most neglected. Continuing from how to do a decon break and physical reasons of why you need to do a decon break, here I touch on the mental aspects which in my opinion are the biggest barriers to gaining.

Rut and Frustration- This is the most common reason to decon that there is. Because when you get pissed at PE, find yourself not logging onto a PE site in 7 months, haven’t done PE in just as long…then come back to it and get some quick(er) gains…newsflash, friend. You just decon’d!

Frustration:

First, there is no hard criteria or protocols for being frustrated. However, my recommendation is to assess yourself physically, mentally and emotionally on a regular basis. PE burnout is not only not constructive but it damages other parts of your life aside from your penis and sexuality. Frustration bleeds over from PE into your work and relationships. If you’re always irritated and annoyed you are less productive at work and you’re less fun to be around on a personal level. You have to be honest with yourself and also listen to the feedback from friends and coworkers if they tell you’re that you’re more morose, preoccupied or irritated these days. Frustration mounts slowly and sneaks up on the best of us. Do not be afraid to stop PE if it gets to be too much to handle with the other parts of your life.

Rut/Doldrums/Too Much PE on Autopilot

The PE Rut is highly similar to the Frustration phase and can in fact happen at the same time as frustration but sometimes will not. The PE rut is characterized by not seeing much by way of gains (if any) and still devoting most of your waking time to PE. Like wearing an ADS for 10+ hours after doing a 2 hour routine 5 or 6 days a week. That’s an example I’ve seen more than one of. You are probably in a rut if:

* You are looking for something PE related to do on your off days
* You are working 6 days straight or cutting rest days out entirely
* You PE while you’re asleep
* Your total PE time is half of your waking hours or more than 20+ hours per week (this fluctuates upwards just a bit for extenders and ADS as they have long wear times as a part of design and effectiveness)
* You spend more time doing PE than any other activity in a day.
* You put opportunities for sex off to make sure your routines are done on time and to the proper durations

The issue with a rut is your life starts to suffer and you may not even realize it. Frustration often will ruin your life because your mentality and attitude in general will be suffering but in a rut you’ll think you’re fine and even your family and friends may think you’re okay…but the amount of time and energy you’re giving PE will be disproportionate. It will be lopsided and you will honestly only figure that out when you take a month or two off and find yourself with a huge amount of free time you have no idea how to fill.

Frustration and ruts don’t have a designated time for you to take off in order to fix those problems. This is going to be a personal decision and it’s going to be based on your own needs and desires. However, I recommend a good month. This way you can see a large difference in your free time and how much of it you spend doing other things. How many other things you find yourself able to do and accomplish outside of Penis Enlargement. It serves to remind a devoted PE practitioner how much he sacrifices for devotion. Some find that an acceptable price. Some like a quick reminder of living life and putting PE as a secondary concern. This is also your choice. I ran into this myself, actually. (Because bad choices make the best stories *chuckles*)

I remember it was 2 or so years ago I was searching for a specific pump system I heard about from some random place on the internet. I think I was diving deep into threads back on Matters Of Size, sorting through really scattered posts with ancient time stamps, and I knew I was trailing a curve correction unicorn. That was my biggest obsession and what kept me coming back to PE. (Hell, it’s why I’m still here. *chuckles*)

This time it was a cheap foreign pump system but the cylinder supposedly came apart in 3 sections if I recall correctly and it was said you could wedge or glue or affix something inside of it to influence the inflated erection that the vacuum would generate. I searched high and low for it and when I found it (it was only available out of India from a site in a language I had no chance of reading in currency I had idea what it was), I also found that it didn’t come in a size I could use and still wedge an item in it to try my curvature correction experiment.

I was so angered and frustrated I tried to use a Vacutech tube (and I ante’d up a quick $150 for whatever tube that was, as I didn’t have it prior to the experiment.) with something stuffed in it to help form against my curve. Never-mind that it was impossible to secure the item in the tube or I had no idea what being under vacuum against a foreign object would feel like or do to my penis. As a matter of fact, thinking of it now, I don’t know how well a 3-sectional tube would hold vacuum or feel against my shaft when pressure was put on or how well such a non-solid cylinder construction would even hold vacuum. I was lost in my frustration of searching for miracle curve corrections so deep I was willing to try anything. You cannot go there. That is a dark place, to be so obsessed with the goal that nothing is too great a risk. Just…no.

Sometimes you have to step back, stop and admit you’re just all PE’d out.

Have you ever been at your wits end with PE? Have you ever caused yourself an injury simply because you tried too hard and you knew it? Has the mental fatigue ever hurt more than the physical fatigue?

My big secret? My methods. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *8* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith. Also Fitness helps too.

My life always comes before PE. If there’s something I enjoy in life happening, for me to miss my routine, I’m totally cool. On the other hand when it’s something I’m not enjoying, something that’s making my stress levels go up, and I just want an escape to pleasure myself but am unable to, then that’s when I get frustrated. That’s when I will pace holes in the floor and get angry with the world. It’s not because I’m missing my routine so much, but missing my life the way I want to live it.

It’s winter, the houses are all closed up, so they were damn loud. Haha!! Anyway, it sent me for a loop. I was just beside myself because at that moment I realized I was putting edging before sex. I felt so terrible, because edging is absolutely no substitution. That’s when I decided I really had to change directions in my life. That’s when I knew I needed to find balance.

Since starting at Thunders, I have yet to injure myself. I started PE a few weeks before finding this place, in which time I did injure myself slightly. Just some small lesions on the underside of my shaft, I believe from over stretching. Then, I was trying to hard and didn’t have much knowledge on anything PE related. Being here has taught me a lot and do my best to stay injury free.

PE has it’s time and place, I just get bogged down with everything else in life. It’s caused my mental state to suffer some. No I’M NOT CRAZY! Haha! Just a little depressed. I’m just overworked, underappreciated, and realized I’m just plain lonely. Yes, I have my daughter to keep me company, but sometimes a man needs to have some adult conversations and fun. I just don’t get enough of that and is a reason I stick around here. PE right now is an escape for me. Something that just gives me a sense of accomplishment. I work hard and get nothing from it. With PE I’m working hard and actually getting something. It makes me feel a lot better about myself.

Totally TG. You should be lecturing at MIT, and have the largest penis there. I have a lot of problems in my life, with women and family and otherwise that I need to address, so having a gigantic penis is not really that important right now. I apologize in advance to the moderators, senior members and whatnot about when it may seem like I am trolling. I basically read a lot of this site several years ago and thought that I had PE all figured out. It’s a pretty laid back, simple thing for me, but it is not for others I guess. I am now drinking whiskey, drumming, and not really working. Cool, talk to you later.

I know what it’s like to PE for lack of company or a feeling of accomplishment. My issue is down the road relying on PE for those levels of vindication can turn sour, especially when gains dry up or if you get injured/have losses.

Right now, battling porn addiction to save my EQ while seeing positive PIs and likely gains is tricky going for me. Cuz the feedback is extremely positive and negative from PE and thusly it can screw with my mind. I’ve seen much worse in the world of PE though, men far further down the dark path.

Beware any path lit and led to victory by your penis. That’s my point here in the work.

I just think many members forget the process of PE isn’t all mechanical. We don’t just tug our way to victory. We rejoice and despair along the way. It affects our moods, positively or negatively. Some get really wrapped up in it and I have coached more than one person so frustrated they felt PE was the most important thing they had going for them.

In your case, you aren’t that guy. You deal with life and PE in a way that doesn’t leave you drained. But many do, especially guys with smaller starting stats or significant psychological trauma relating to virility or size. I’ve been there too; that’s why I wrote this.
