CLAMPING Everything You Ever Wanted To Know

You know, it occurs to me that, maybe you guys are not using enough wrap. By the time you jelq in blood and click the clamp to its last click you should be hard as a rock, so hard that the clamp will not, (ride up) the shaft by itself. Once the clamp is closed to the last click the clamp should stay where you put it, deep into the fat-pad. Once you have that bad boy fat and clamped tight, you should not lose any engorgement even when your erection angle drops.

Toward the end of the set your clamped flaccid girth should be much fatter than it was hard at the beginning of the set. If not, you are not clamping tight enough. Just add a little more wrap to make it tighter. Once your wrap is cut to right length you will not have to change it. In fact anytime you buy a new wrap, use the old one to measure cutting the new one. For me the perfect wrap is a piece of neoprene cut to 2”X7”, But the length of the wrap will change from dick to dick, according to your girth.

Ah, that’s the difference. :) You clamp as tight as humanly possible, whereas I clamp 2 clicks less than maximum comfortably possible. I’m following drilla9’s clamping school. :D

I definitely don’t do that. Only do 3 clicks with a thick pad on my clamp. But those 3 clicks I feel are super tight. Perhaps tomorrow I shall try 4 clicks :O

Hate to pose questions probably asked many times but unfortunately I’m geographically handicapped when it comes to clamping, I live in Sweden where cable clamps are unreasonably hard to come by (seems to go for most PE material as well). Anyway, been meaning to order some clamps for a long while and after browsing lots of sites today I decided to order some sea clamps from the gulfstream site.

Wondering though from which sites I may purchase the wrapping? Is the one mentioned in the original post the industry standard? (lol) I should be able to find something similar here in Sweden, just don’t want to be able to blame lousy equipment if I don’t get any results, thanks.

You can almost use any kind of soft, stretchy bandages, sold at Sporting Good Stores. I don’t like the ACE bandage, because the crinkly texture of the bandage is uncomfortable against the skin when it is under the pressure of the clamp. Neoprene wraps seem to work best, such as wrist-wraps or ankle, elbow support bandages. The mouse pad is the right material, but a little too thick and hard to work with. Most of the athletic support bandages have a nice Velcro closure, which is convenient, but not necessary.

Good luck on ordering the clamps. if all else fails you can always get them from the CableClamp site, or from Monty.

Good call, that’s where I got mine. Took a few days longer than I’d anticipated though. I personally use a piece of an old T-shirt that I’ve cut to proper length for a wrap. Seems to work well for me and it could be a last resort or something to use while you search for something equivalent to the TheraWraps.

I live in Sweden too and ordered from CableClamp site without problems. If everything fails, I got some spares as well which I can send for free.

For wraps, I use normal thick textil that I cut from an old shirt. Works well but takes some time to apply. I have long time thought about using a mouse pad, cut it and glue it directly to the clamp. Someone posted a picture here somewhere and it looked like a good idea.

Just wanted to stop in and say how sexy this thread is. Ridiculously informative and shit.

I did jelqs and horses for about 3 months before I started clamping. Been clamping 3 weeks now and I haven’t noticed any real gains. In fact, I’ve noticed that It’s harder to get erections and keep them, and my dick has lost sensitivity. It may be due to staring at porn during my sessions. But I do know that after my 3rd 10 minute set, my dick is usually dead and has very little feeling in it. How bad is this and what should I do about it?

I’ve also tried clamping and then letting it subside but it doesn’t seem to work. Unless I’m stimulating myself the whole time, my dick goes completely limp and then eventually shrinks to the point where all blood flows out.

Sounds like your first three months were pretty intense. You may have started clamping too soon. Three 10 minute sets should not give you a dead dick. Leave it alone for a couple days and see if your EQ comes back.

I only thought I was ready for clamps because of the jelqing I did, and the fact that my young age results in constant strong erections and whatnot.

I will add that I’m not as dedicated as most would be. I try to do 1 day on and 1 day off, but it usually ends up being 1 day on and 2 days off, and one time it was 3 days off.

The shaft at the base is bruised, so I think I’m clamping too tight also. I’m gonna go find a mouse pad right now to use as a wrap, because up until now I’ve been using simple hand rags or even my boxers themselves. Very thin material. It’s almost as if the clamp is directly on my dick with nothing cushioning it at all.

I also haven’t been using cable clamps themselves. I got this clamp at Walmart and it has ‘raptor’ in it’s name. It’s not as asymmetrical as the cable clamps are, so I think one side of my dick is taking more of a beating than the other side.

There lies your problem(s), dude. Wrong clamp and wrong wrap. Get the original CableClamp or it’s new clone, the CableCuff at HomeDepot, from their website or from Monty. These clamps put most of the pressure on the tougher sides on the shaft and very little on the top and bottom where the vulnerable dorsal nerve and the soft spongiosum are located. Also, forget the mousepad (Old School) Use one of the many varieties of neoprene athletic wraps talked about on this thread.

You probably shouldn’t be clamping at all, especially till your injury heals, if it is, in fact, an injury and not just a sore dick. But if you are going to clamp, do it right, or you will end up on the Injuries forum

I apologize.. I only read the first post of this thread. I just wanted to see if it still is held as a common belief that clamping will practically halt your length gains? I tried clamping for the first time last night. It was intense and I never measured such a high girth. That said, I’m three months in. I’ve made stellar length gains, but want more. I was thinking of clamping maybe once per week just to feel the amazing girth increase (I feel the act of clamping is too intense and advanced for an every workout thing). But if the proof still points to less length gains, I’ll put the clamp away for a while. Thanks!

I was going to ask the same question. I really want girth, but length is more important this point for me.

I will try clamping once I reach my 7” mark. (1” to go.. arrrrrrr)
