No, the string stays at the base the entire time. You start your jelq just above the string/base and move slowly up towards the glans, Then you just keep repeating that over and over. You should feel pressure building up towards your glans while you do this of course. Just think of the string at the base as like a pump to get as much blood in your shaft as possible. The string stays there at your base tied very tightly until you’ve had enough. I recommend starting slow and building up

You can also incorporate horse squeezes by taking a hand and then adding to the pressure at the base with the string on still. That’s serious pressure

I’ve always thought of the penis as like a sponge. The more blood flow that goes throughout it then the more likely it is to retain some of that blood flow thus enlarging your penis more

Have you tried this with a regular cable clamp in place of the string?

I have yeah. I don’t really like cable clamps they just kind of freak me out. I like strings just because you can get it off quick if anything were to go wrong

1. Is everyone mostly still using Cable Clamps?

2. Using a cable clamp - how do you wrap and exactly how do you clamp?

I know Big Girtha emphasized that the clamp should have the screw at the bottom such that the clamp is clamping the sides of your penis and not the top (he seemed worried about the dorsal vein). Is there agreement that this is the best thing?

To me, clamping the top seems more ‘natural’, so to speak.

I’ve tried clamping my sides this week, but I get this feeling I’m “crushing” my dick at the base. I’m using silicone sleeves for wrap.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. I also seemed to get negative EQ already from clamping, so it might be that clamping ain’t for me anyway. Maybe I’m better of pumping…

I’m not saying this is the best way to go, but you asked, so I’ll tell you what I’ve been doing.

I’m using 2 Cable Clamp Pros; I like them better than the original design. I do about 4 wraps with some stretchy tape that sticks to itself and not to skin, then lay a strip cut from an old mouse pad on top. The strip goes maybe 80% of the way around, with the gap at the bottom. Totally protects the dorsal vein, and the sides. I put the nonslip side of the mousepad strip facing the tape, leaving the smooth surface up and out. Makes it easy to close (and open) the clamps. Hinge is at the bottom, directly on the tape, in the gap between the ends of the padded strip. Clamps join at the top, squeezing the sides.

My EQ is only poor for a short while after a long clamping session, but is good again within a few hours. Always make sure to cycle in fresh blood every few minutes. If you still have poor EQ issues then by all means change your routine.

I googled the new cable clamps. Are there really any big differences between the new and the old ones?

Exactly what kind of wrap do you use? How thick is it? Perhaps the key is to wrap as thick as you need in order to get the clamp to be at full force in the ideal geometry (oval)? It might be that my wrap is to thin such that I have to clamp too far down.

I took a break from clamping, but I do wear an all day cock ring behind my balls. When I’m at my house I tend to clamp this off rather loosely whenever I’m erect or whenever I can plump things up a bit in the bathroom. I’ve noticed that I seem to get a good expansion from this even though I’m not fully erect. So, maybe that’s the sweet spot I’m hitting right there. Behind the balls, I know I’m girthier, so it might be that the clamp size is better because of that.

The tape I use is nothing special, 2 inch wide self adherent athletic tape. I got mine from Amazon, Yosoo brand, blue. It isn’t real thick, even with 4 plies. The mouse pad strip is much thicker, at maybe 3/16”. With both of them I am able to completely clamp off blood flow at the last click on the first clamp. I then use the second clamp to control pressure. I might not completely close the second clamp, depending on how well I kegeled when I closed the first clamp. I tend to use fairly high pressures, paying close attention, always ready to cut a session short if something feels off.

As for the pro clamps, they are stronger and the release is easier to use, but if you’re happy with your current clamps then don’t worry about it. I broke two of my old clamps, which is why I switched.

Thank you, FunSize. I’m pumping now with good expansion and good EQ, so will probably stay with that for a while. But would be very interested in getting clamping to work also.

This is great. I definitely plan on incorporating this, when I get better. I also read up on hanging, and I think it is very useful particularly for base penis gains, pulling out parts of the penis that are more inside the body, probably helping both erect length, and especially flaccid length.
