Would eating a surplus of calories be necessary for your penis to grow, given that the additional calories can be used up in supporting its recuperation? How about protein’s involvement with penile growth? Surely, both are necessary if the penis is to recover and grow stronger from the methods utilised to enhance it?

Muscle in your penis is smooth muscle, not skeletal muscle, so the mechanism involved in growth is different. And we want to create a longer penis, not a stronger one. (Which implies it becomes harder to increase length)

I do imagine micro nutrients could help, not so much the distribution of macro nutrients. Which doesn’t go to say that a healthy diet won’t benefit you; better health, better erections and thus better overall PE.

We are stressing our dicks.

That stress effects the entire organism.

Proper nutrition is essential.

I imagine there would be some correlation between good diet and size gains. Protein for tissue repair, fat for hormone regulation.

A proper healthy diet sure will help you rather than a dirty greasy fast food diet. A healthier body will reduce injury, help blood flow and aid healing.

But it is hardly as important as in weight lifting.
