KOG’s explanation was the best I had seen on the LOT theory. I’m sitting at 8:30. Based on this, I guess I’ll know how to try and vary routines in the future for max gains.

What’s the operative principle behind tugback? Does Kegeling pull only the ligs, only on the tunica, on a little of both, or on something else?
If Kegeling pulled only on the ligs, you would not expect a loss of tugback at lower angles, but rather an arrival of tugback as the ligs are stretched enough to perceptibly pull back. So the ligs can’t be pulling back, at least not consistently with conventional wisdom.
If, on the other hand, Kegeling pulled only on the tunica, I can’t predict what would happen. Is the tunica tighter on top than on the bottom? If so (and I think it is), the situation would be much like the ligaments, and you would expect an arrival (not loss) of tugback at lower angles.
Maybe it’s the corpus cavernosa themselves that are pulling back. If this is case, one would expect tugback through all angles of the clock. So what’s going on?
When I look at myself sideways in the mirror and Kegel, I see a range of tugback—Very pronounced toward noon and barely noticeable at 6. There’s no clear loss of tugback, only a gradual decline. Do other people see this gradual decline in tugback?
Also, can you get essentially the same information about lig versus tunica tightness just by stretching your penis and assessing the tightness of your ligaments?
From what I’ve read, the tunica is actually an extension of the abdominal fascia. Please correct me if I’m wrong. When I stretch straight down, I really feel the stretch toward the bottom of my abdomen, behind my pubic hair. It really feels like I’m pulling on my abdomen.
But maybe that’s beside the point. Can we simplify LOT theory, at least for the purposes of the newbies, by merely saying, work to stretch the part that feels tighter?

The tunica goes around the CC so it can be counted as the same here. What’s going on is the ligs go from the pubic bone to the top of the shaft, so if you pull upward they are on the shorter side, like the inside track in a race. So to take the stress here they would have to be very short. If they were a bit longer they might take stress starting from a lower angle. If the ligs are not taking any stress you get tugback as the tunica is what’s being pulled back.

Not me. Keep an eye on the head when you kegel, see if it tugs back or not. If the base flexes a lot and the head moves only a little that can be regarded as LOT.

Assess the tightness as compared to what? That would leave a pretty big margin for error unless you go around grabbing a bunch of guys ligs for comparison.

The tunica does not have much to do with determining LOT. Instead, your LOT will determine if you need to work on stretching your tunica.

Right, if you have a high LOT, you should stretch at downward position.

If individuals have LOW LOT, they should not worry about ligs anymore. Their should stretch the tunica.

If you have a low LOT, it probably means your ligs are already rather low and/or loose compared with your tunica. You might be able to get some small yet fast gains by attacking your ligs, but I wouldn’t expect anything earth shattering.
Most of your growth will probably come from enlarging your tunica. Since your LOT is low, there’s really no need to “hang” upwardly. Low LOT basically means your tunica takes the tension regardless of angle. So, for you, I’d say it would be OK to “hang” straight out or even possibly straight down.
“Hanging” straight out or upwardly will certainly avoid your ligs. Tension will be focused on the tunica only. These angles could be good for you, as they will tend to raise your LOT as your tunica grows. Once your LOT has increased, you can probably get some quick gains by hanging straight down and stretching your ligs. You can kind of flip between the angles over time to attack whatever structure is currently limiting your growth.

Determining LOT (Loss of Tug)
LOT (Loss of Tug).
This is a very important factor in the way you exercise.
Grasp your flacid penis under the glans in the O.K. grip. (Palm down) Stretch straight up (This is 12:00) Do a hard Kegel. Do you feel it tug back?
(No need to pull too hard, as this can be very noticeable or can be very subtle.)
Stretch straight out (9:00) do a hard Kegel. Do you feel it tug back?
Stretch straight down (6:00) do a hard Kegel. Do you feel it tug back?
When you DON’T feel it TUG BACK, this is your Loss of Tug or LOT.
If your LOT is 6:00, you will need to do your exercises straight out and straight up.
If your LOT is 9:00 or higher, you will do exercises straight out and straight down.
You always want to exercise AGAINST the TUG
Most men find that they have low LOT. Mine is at 6:00. This means that the gains come harder and require more dedication and work to see the gains.
Men with high LOT, are very lucky. Their gains come easier and can utalize weight hanging. But don’t be discouraged, the Gains will come if you are dedicated and stay on the program I have outlined below. These are exercises to help you gain, regardless of LOT
