I haven’t seen this topic covered much, but I think it deserves attention. How can you avoid the “baseball bat” effect- fatter on the upper half of the penis and narrower at the base from jelqing. When you jelq you are constricting the base and engorging the penis ahead of the base. Since the base is always constricted how can it ever increase in girth with the rest of the penis?

I am hoping that incorporating stretching techniques, be it manual, ads, or hanging would bring in base girth. So far my base is still 1/8” larger than midshaft and 1/4” larger than behind the head. I am only using manual strecth and jelq.

It’s interesting, luvdadus, that have managed to keep your base girth slightly larger than midshaft and head. I’m assuming you made your gains solely by jelqing and manual stretching. Is that correct?

Yes, too chicken and not enough time or privacy to hang. I may have to stop active pe for a while in the near future and switch to a maintenance routine, my wife seems to enjoy the bigger size but there are times where I can cause some discomfort. I guess there is a learning curve on how to wield a bigger unit without causing discomfort.

I hear you about not wanting to cause the mrs. discomfort. That kind of defeats the purpose of peing in the first place. But I was wondering what do think is causing the “club” effect in others who are jelqing? So far I haven’t noticed it, but I only started two months ago. I’m just hoping it doesn’t happen to me.

I too have been PEing for only a couple of months. I had some good gains and began to notice the baseball bat effect. It really didn’t bother me. However, I started hanging about two weeks ago and the baseball effect went away. Actually, the base is starting to enlarge quite noticeably. I have pretty much stopped jelqing for now because I want more length along the entire shaft and feel that hanging is the way. I will still jelk about 2-3 times a week in order to maintain my girth gains.

I think that the effect is due to the fact that the head and the distal part of the cc is under more pressure for longer than the rest. ie the part near the base experiences the pressure of the stroke for a second perhaps whereas the distal part gets the whole 3 seconds. This translates to an uneven distribution of the workout and the distal cc and head are more benefitted.

I don’t see how any one could avoid it completely if using a jelq only program. Most everybody does at least some stretching or hanging so I think that this component evens things out.

I think jelktoids experience reinforces my thoughts on this.

This should be no worry.

I am much larger at the base than midshaft (it always irritated me that on this site and on size’s size site, only midshaft is asked, so I cannot post my base girth), and pe/jelqing did not invert anything. Rather girth increased throughout (except the head I suppose, though I never measured the head).

How long have you been peing exact?

I did pe from 10/1998 through 4/1999, then stopped. My statistics are at:
