Any injuries from bends?

Hi guys,

I don’t mean to start any wars, as I seem to recall there was a heated debate regarding the safety of this exercise, nonetheless, it appears they have produced significant gains for those who have tried them.

When I first read about them, the thought of bending an erection filled me with dread.

But I investigated further, found Gandolf’s video, watched it, and…

Yikes!

However, after gaining about 1 1/2 inches in length, and about 1/4 in girth, all from jelqing, I am open to new ideas.

I’ve tried weights for a bit, but stopped after a minor injury. I won’t rule them out, but I tend to overdue things. However, in truth, I think I’ve managed to suffer a small (thank god) injury on just about every excercise I’ve tried.

Even thrombosed a vein doing JAI’s!
(it went away after an hour)

Thus the bends probably aren’t a good idea, even so, I am tempted. I’ve been at this over a year (70 % of my gains occured in the first month), and now I find myself plateaued somewhat.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I have been doing the Horse Shoes or DLD Bends for a long time now and I have seen wonderful results. I think the most important thing to do when engaging in these advanced moves is to really listen to your body. Educate yourself completely on the move and work into it slowly. I know when I am pushing myself to far and I need to listen to this instinct.

The Bends - sounds awful, doesn't it?

I’ve been playing with these recently, without any damage so far.

For me, so far, the trick is not to be “unbendably” hard, just close enough to that so I can get some shaft-shift, if you know what I mean?

I haven’t felt any pain from this work but I am sure I would if I were not able to manage the erection level this seems to require.

My advice: know what you are doing before you tinker with this exercise.

Let me make a clarification about the DLD Bends and Erect Bends. You do them in a pumped state. I do jelq, then uli, THEN bends. By the time I start my bends, my dick is “inflated” So its not like I have a rock hard, rigid dick to bend. Doesn’t feel like it’s going to snap or anything.

Thanks for clarifying Gandolf. But wouldn’t squeeze(d) bend give better description than erect (or DLD) bend. Let’s make an universal PE language :D

SWM22, your post raises two questions:

- Are you promoting ADS work out, when saying BABY POWER is a gift by God? A pull being “BABY POWER WEAK” could only be effective when being applied several hours, right?

XXL, Actually I myeslf advocate the use of baby powder. :up:

It does give good grip and you just need to slap some on your hands and dick much like you would do with the vaseline.

I do have the lig pop (sometimes more of a cracking) since I include DLD Blasters in my PE - no powder needed. Still I am quite sure that stretching down wards does effect the erection strength in a negative way. I have sex daily and can easily monitor these correlations. After having spent four weeks of vacation in Brazil without any PE and thereby experiencing spontaneous steel hard erections I am very sure about it. Nevertheless I continue PE, since I now know what to do if my erections suck - to pause with PE

And since we are on a specific thread: I also do bends, I like them but I carefully watch my glans while doing them. I don’t push the blood out of the glans when doing them, so a lot of pressure builds up and already resulted in small blood dots on the glans.

Finally: My response was not regarding BABY POWDER but BABY POWER, as used by SWM22 !!!!

I think the DLD Bends can be done in this state as well as at 100% (as I do them) I think you bring up a really good point Gan in the fact that a new users way to get into the bend may be to start it in a less erect state and as he feels comfortable move up closer and sloser to his own max.

Man guys I think some people put way to much “intellect” into this stuff. You lost me Mr. XXippittyXX, I use Baby Powder to get a better grip, not all of us have sandpaper on the palms of our hands ya know.

SWM22 - indeed, it seems to be too much intellect for a few - but how could there be a place where only ‘gifted’ meet their kind? Interesting enough that as a reaction you prefer to cripple my name instead of fixing your signature.

…it’s not really my sandpaper palms, but since I prefer stretching my dick, not just the skin of it, my grip is tight enough not to slip off. You probably won’t get any baby powder between your skin and the muscle layer covering the chambers. Using baby powder sure will help keeping the grip at the skin, but if your grip isn’t tight enough not to slip off the skin without powder, the skin will just slip along the muscle layer, leaving the chambers and the ligs unstretched - HAPPY FORESKIN LENGTHENING ;-)

I dont know what youre talking about with the happy foreskin lengthening remark. I pull by my glans and incorporate DLD’s Blasters along with modified V stretches and A stretches in my stretching exercises. So, most of the work is being focused on my ligs. I never pull on the outside of my penis as I feel this not only requires much more work because youre pulling the skin of the penis along with everything else but, my skin is already loose enough from my previous hanging efforts and I’m at this to lengthen my penis not restore my forskin. I dont need to fix my signature. I came up with my signature after realizing how wonderful of a grip aid Baby Powder is. It’s much better than a washrag which can irritate the glans and much better than a bare palm alone. Not only that but, it leaves my penis smelling nice and soft as a baby’s ass. ;)

Sorry, wasn’t the one to name these exercises. And I guess some people like DLD do them 100% erect. I am as hard as I can get for them, but not quite as rigit due to the fact that my shaft is inflated.
