I am not really an experienced PE’er but maybe I can clarify some of the things.
You are mentioning two things which is different to each other but much alike.
When you get bruised (in Sweden we call this a “bluemark”) which basically look the
same as a hickey.

This occurs when you strike a vein and the blood flows out of it and gets placed
in between the skin and the muscle (at the most places on your body).
When you get a bruise on your cock due to PE, it’s because you have forced more
blood into the vein then it can hold. Even beyond it’s expanding limits, therefore it breaks of course.

This is not healthy at all btw, when blood flows out of the veins, as a deafens mechanism the
blood coagulates. Which means it will harden and become scar tissue much like a normal wound
but under the skin. This is no big of a deal of the blood coagulates outside the vein. But if it
happens so that the vein now has a dent in it. It won’t be able to flow as much blood trough it
of course, and therefore its negative for your erection.

So we’ve established that all forms of bruising leaves a certain amount of residue stuck left in
under your skin right? So all and all this will leave your skin a little bit darker each time this happens.

Now the discoloration everyone is talking about is the same thing but not quite.
Every time you try to widen your veins and arteries more then it’s normal size (note.
not larger then they can expand before braking).

A vein is not made of solid Swedish steel ;) so ever time some of the blood will transfer out
of the veins in a really small amount. And as we established earlier this will gradually cause
darkening of the skin. Each a little every time you do this.

So that’s basically the process ;) I am not really sure weather this is in fact 100% true.
I’m studying medicine as we speak. And a couple days ago my teacher told me that bruising
will go away completely because it’s inside your body and your system will take care of this.
Although this maybe true the tissue on your penis is alot different from the rest of your body
and I have proof on my own cock that this is the case (of course I did not whip it out in the classroom
to show it off ;) .

Also take note that if you already have a darker skin the discolouration will be harder to spot
and wont effect the appearance that much as if for e.g. a albino would get bruised.

Rymdrattan,

That was a very informative post. I’m a newbie to PE and to this site as well (this is actually my second post). You are saying that discoloration WILL eventually go away if given enough time to heal? I’m asking because I started to do PE about a year ago but I stopped about 6-7 months ago because I noticed some discoloration on my penis and I did NOT like the way it looked. It wasn’t real bad but it was definitely noticeable. I haven’t done any kind of PE since the summer and it does seem to be going away, slowly. I think I started off too intense (I was jelqing to the point of vessel breakage on day 1). Needless to say, I did not do enough research before I started PEing. I realize that I jumped in too hard too fast. This time around I’d like to start PEing again but this time it will be SLOWLY. Anyways, thanks for the input. I still have a lot more research to do before I start up again. I’m so glad I found this site. It’s very helpful. Thanks.

Rymdrattan,

Would you be so kind to ask your teachers if there is any remedy for discoloration rather then “wait until it is gone”?
Thanks.

Well I would compare this to for e.g. if you cut of the tip of your finger. it WILL grow back to normal size.
But if you cut it off beneath the lid, it won’t. This is not really the same thing of course but there is
similarity’s.

There are also different theories (especially on this board) on what it is that actually makes the bruising.
One theory that I heard was that the iron in the blood was the thing that stayed behind.

If this theory is true then it would take a rather long time for it to go back into your system, although if
as I believe its coagulated blood. Then it would not take especially long time for it to return to your system
if it’s left alone to heal. Although this may very well be depending on where the bruise is located. if it’s just
beneath the skin it would probably go back in a few days from 100% to zero. But if it’s stuck between ligaments
or in the glands it would probably take alot longer since the cells in those areas don’t renew themselves as often.

But yes! since all cells in your body do renew (or rather “be replaced”) this will eventually go away.
BUT! if a real wound would appear, such as a scar on anyplace else on your body, it will leave a fairly
permanent mark of scar tissue.

So my theory is this;

*Bruising (blood suffusion), will go away in near future depending on it’s location.
*Popped vein, will result in scar tissue which may partly be there a little amount the rest of your life.

Hehe, I think my teacher in medicine would be fairly suspicious. ;)
But I assume that linnement of any kind would help the bruise go away
and other simpler things like heat and massaging which would make the
blood flow more efficient and cleanse the skin/bruise more rapidly.
