I get a much better pumped feeling when I do jelqing at 90” erect, sometimes. 100% is not as good for normal jelqing, but when I get fully erect and then use one hand to trap the blood in from the base, while the other hand does the jelq above it, the pump is amazing when 100% erect. Some say you shouldn’t be fully erect when you jelq and I would agree when it comes to normal jelqs, but when I trap the blood in at the base and use the other hand to jelq, it actually helps if the dick is fully erect for some reason. You can feel the blood resistance against your hand and the greater pump. Some say 90% erect is too much for a normal jelq too, but I find that this gives a better workout too. I just don’t get as much of a hang or pump if I do 70% erect, although I do some 70% stuff too. I think my dick can take it because it causes no pain, and if it did I would decrease the level of erection. Plus my dick is used to being kept hard for hours on end because I jack off on marathon session fairly often, lol. So my dick has become resistant and likes intensity, my ligs are another matter.

Do any of you do the same kind of high erection exercising and do you find that it is more effective at getting you pumped and giving you a good hang afterwards?

I do all 100% erect jelqing and squeezes they are the best for girth, but you won’t get any length from them. It is easier to hurt your self with full erect exercises.

I also jelq with a harder erection. I feel that I need to be at least 80% erect up to 100% in order to get a good workout. But what do I know, I am just beginning this and haven’t seen any gains yet. The only thing is that with higher degree of erection you have to be more careful if you want to avoid red dots on your penis.

Gottagrow, keep going at it if you feel comfortable with it, but never underestimate what you’re capable of doing. Gaining a couple of inches? Yes. Ruining your dick because of lack of precaution? Also yes. Listen to your dick and take it slow.

Hrabia, if you have only just started I would recommend jelqing at a lower level of erection to begin with to get your penis accustomed to the pressure. If you haven’t done this before, jelqing at over 80% could cause some damage because your dick simply has no clue whats going to hit it, and thats not always good. Remember to warm up.

I use no warm-up. Most of the time I am not able to, that’s why. Whenever I can, I do and then I feel that it is really better to warm up. If I can, I will even warm up during a long session. I find that these in between warm-ups prevent me from getting red dots and the entire penis just feels better than without the warm ups. However, like I said, that’s generally not possible for me. :(

Do you think that I should still take it slow? I have been here (a lurker, unregistered and at peforum) for couple of years and gave it a try couple of times here and there. I didn’t really have the time and willingness to do it before. I would like to start exercising seriously and consistently, although I still don’t have the time. So, I have been doing these exercises for probably around 8 weeks. However, with shorter and longer periods of breaks in between. Do I need to get my penis accustomed to the exercises each time after a longer break?

Hrabia, if you absolutely cannot perform a warmup, I’d recommend performing jelqs 30-40% for a couple of minutes, then 40-50% and work up to 80+.

Some people use a heat pad for a warmup rather than a wet cloth or hot water. If you can get one of these I’d recommend it because it’s better than no warmup at all! :)

If you have a break for long enough, it’s safest to do a few days of moderate intensity exercises before jumping in at the deep end again because your dick well have adjusted to having little to no pressure placed upon it.

I’m pretty sure you can get some length just not as much as doing stretches.

You might be right, but I haven’t got some since I have switched to full erect all my length gains are from the bib or manual stretches.

hrabia I suggest you do what you feel is comfortable. If 30-40% causes discomfort then don’t do it, because pain is a messanger to alert the body to harm. So listen to your body. Try 60-70% but don’t jelq too hard for a couple of weeks.

Ok so you are saying 70% is best for length, so I will do half of my routine at 90-100% erect and the second half will be 70% erect. But do you think that doing 90-100% jelqs will undo the lengthening effect of the 70% stuff? Will the lengthening effect from 70% jelqs be redirected into thickening effects by performing 90-100% jelqs? Do I have to exclusively do 70% jelqs inorder to get a lengthining effect? Why does 70% jelqing give length when 90-100% doesn’t? Is it because your dick is more stretchable so it strecthes out the tunica, or the ligs? Or some other reason?

Gottagrow, if you really want to increase length, then add some stretching exercises those are more effective than jelqing. Jelq is more concentrated on girth, and the length gain from jelq is only its side-effect. Don’t expect you can increase length a lot purely by jelqing no matter how much erection you use!

I jelq at 90%-100% erection. I found that’s more effective and better at increasing girth.

hrabia, when you are jelqing at 30%-40%, use lighter strength. The main reason of jelqing in almost flaccid status is to warm up. When jelqing hand reachs the head, you can hold there and add more strength to pull the penis out. That might be helpful to length.

I am newbie of newbie here.

While doing jelq, we should be receiving any pain, is this right? Or some pain from friction between hand and skin is ok?

I do almost 100 percent jelqs as well. Never had any problem.

I also do erect (dry) jelqs but I find it safer to use a “u” grip instead of an “o” grip, blood spotting is reduced and the pressure remains similar.

I alternate top to bottom squeezes with side to side ones.
