8" BP is average???

You could be right about the smaller/bigger ones, Many will probably be afraid of posting pictures and stats if they consider them self small, But they could still be posting in threads and polls. Also this is a place where people are accepted as they are, No matter what size they are. The guys here are very supportive and helpful.

Well, If I had a natural NBP 8x6”, I would probably never have found or joined this forum, Or used sooo many hours to make it bigger, Or would I :-k

I haven’t looked at the study, but I presume that is NBP. So if we use the 1" average fat pad estimate that puts the average around 6".

In any case, 8" ain’t the average. Well, maybe the average measuring the underside of the penis. ;)

You know this could be an optical illusion, Since you are very thick it will look shorter than it is.

How about the pictures at that site?

According to Kinsey it was 6.5" NBP. I really don`t know, I just read the survey and was quite surprised.

The pictures show a great amount of variation that we don’t usually find here. Usually the guys below average aren’t posting their pics on here (a few are in the mix but not a lot, at least that I have come across).

As for the study, I don’t find it surprising at all. Since those are self reported measurements I presume they just administered a survey of some kind. So, even if they were accurately measured the only people who were going to respond are those comfortable enough with their size to give it. Definitely not an accurate sampling by any stretch of the imagination.

Regarding the secret measuring technique :p … I use my ruler to track my progress, but my true measurement is dictated by my wife. Faking the number I tell her would be pointless, but if I ever want to get into a pissing contest online about my size I’ll hit you up. :)

I really want to believe you, But 34 % are bigger than 6.5 NBP?, That is a lot!
Could be that Wad is right, It is an old study, Could be that the average fat pad was around .25 at that time, That would make more sense compared to other studies.

Are you looking at the chart you posted in post number 16? It does not say the average is 6.5”. It does not say that 34% are bigger than 6.5 inches.

The table shows that:

49% of people measured 6” or less.

72.1% of men measured 6.5” or less. (27.9% were bigger than 6.5”)

87.4% of people measured 7 inches or less.

As for measurement, the people in that study held a note card against their dick and marked the end. the cards were measured not the dicks.

Now, imagine if you did that, and were unfamiliar with the bp, nbp concepts. It is natural to hold that card so that you press into your fat and get a better mark. So it might not be exactly bp measurement, but it isn’t strictly nbp either.

Also, imagine holding your dick and the card in one hand, and a pencil in the other. The angle of your pencil, and the thickness of the pencil, can cause a great error in where the mark is in relation to the end of your dick. It is not a good study, and that is why so many other studies have shown lower numbers.

Yup, this is true. A 7x5” dick looks MUCH longer than a 7x6” dick — just browse through the photo section on this site for evidence.

As far as stats, I’m probably the smallest guy on the forum. Well below average at 6 9/16 x 4 3/4 at last measurement. I have no problem posting the stats. Photos on the other hand…well, that’s another subject entirely isn’t it.

My wife does have a bit of experience, but not enough to make her a dickspert on size. Just enough to know what she’s had and what she likes. Sixteen, including myself. She says I’m just a bit below average right now and that I need about another inch in length and girth but since I’m bigger than when we started…I’m 1/2 way there. She told me that the 8x6.5 vibrator we have is just about right in thickness and “a little too long” since only 6” of it will go in. Yet my 6.5 doesn’t quite bottom out - weird huh? She says that 8x6 and up is “big”. One guy who she only described as “huge” was also about 8 but probably 7+ in girth. So is 8x6 average? I doubt it. Is 6.5 average? I also doubt it. At least not in her experience. What are the chances of a woman having 16 partners with only one smaller than me, most of the rest about an inch bigger, and a few 8+ if “average” is really as small as some of the studies would indicate. I’m starting to believe from the actual stats posted here, from her descriptions of what she liked and didn’t like, that 7x5-5.5 is closer to average.

You are not below average, and definitely not even close to the smallest guy on the forum.

Your above average in length and slightly below in girth. Maybe since women seem to mostly appreciate girth, your wife is rating you on that. Definetly not the smallest on the forum so dont go feeling sorry for yourself.

The vibrator is rigid and you are not, that probably accounts for the difference in her tastes on length

Thats encouraging. However, most of the stats I’ve seen so far would contradict that.

However, coming from a 4.5 NBP…I’ll always be a little guy at least in my mind. I do suspect though that from the stats posted the studies are a bit off.

The fact that an “even” measurement is much more common that a “non-even” measurement is very suspicious, to say the least. Why should 7 be so much more common than both 6.75 and 7.25?

No it is not the same one, The one I am talking about is the one that is on the front page of thunders, I normally just click the “enter” button, But that day I started reading the front page again, There you will find the study and also an other one, With graphs on both length and girth.

Never feeling sorry for myself. Just trying to contribute to the discussion. Take a look at almost everyone’s sig line. Average around here is freakin’ huge according to the studies that are available to read. Starting stats are pretty big by comparison too.

For my part, hell - I’ve got what I’ve got. I did pretty good with what I used to have, doing better now, expecting to do even better in the future. I guess in her what these days may be considered limited sexperience my wife was just one of the lucky ones that spent a life blessed by bigger men? At least I was doing something right because I’m the one that ended up with her…and I’m keeping her too.
