1 day on, 1 or 2 off--experience needed!

Hello, I’m somewhat new to this forum. I really think it is the cat’s pajamas.

I seem to have a bit of a slow metabolism, in that I heal and get over soreness slower than others from things like weightlifing, cuts, burns,and now jelqing. My body does repair itself well, just kind of slowly and it’s always been this way.. I tried the usual 6 on 1 off, then 3 on 1 off, then 2 on 1 off. Soreness and hardened veins(thrombosis) have plagued me.

Someone suggested shorter workouts. I believe that will help some and also that extended workouts can possibly be hazardous, however I still suspicion longer rest periods may be necessary for some of us. Or me, at least.

My question: Have any of you had or even heard of good gains from a 1 day on 1 off or even a 1 day on 2 days off schedule? Thanks for any information you can give me.
