I wondered if the fat pad can potentially be decreased to nearly zero, or not.

I mean, I’ve to admit that I’ve absolutely no idea what the “average fat pad” is like, but I’m currently not really satisfied with mine.. (And that is with 0.6-0.8 inches)

Do you think that there is “potential” to lose some fat and if yes, how much? What is the minimal fat pad like?

We, men and women, genetically have fat in that area to cushion the pubic bones during sex. Since we’re bumping uglies, you need some protection from hurting yourself during the act of procreation. To minimize the fat in this area you will need to lower your overall bodyfat to low levels. When a bodybuilder is ripping up for a competition, the last area of fat to disappear is in the lower abs and also (I’m guessing) the fatpad area south of that. You can reasonably expect to get your fatpad down to 1/4 or 1/2” or so, but any less than that would require very, very low bodyfat levels bordering on the unhealthy. I have a solid 1” fatpad but my bodyfat is not too high, probably around 15%, so it’s partly genetic how much you tend to hold in that area.

I’ve got like 0.5-0.6” fat pad. BPEL 8.07 and NBPEL 7.5”

So it isn’t impossible to go down to .5” or .6” fat pad.

I agree with Mr. Big Sack that 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch is a realistic lower limit for most guys. The skin itself can be compressed about 1/8 of an inch, I think, so any pubic fat at all will bump the figure to about 0.25”.

I would kill for a 1/4 fat pad. Damn, my cock would look cool.

I’m 5’8, 180 pounds, don’t know my bodyfat %, probably ~ 20. I have a fat pad of about 1.5 inches. It’s frustrating, but so far, the only things I’ve heard about reducing it are what’ve been mentioned. That, and lipo, but that really doesn’t sounds like anything resembling a good idea.

Anyways, I used to have like a 1/5” fat pad until I stopped snorting coke, then it went up to 1/2” (these are not exact measurements, but approximations). I think the coke in my teenager years is the reason for my small unit, but I’m seeing slow, steady progress now. So I guess you could snort coke for a year and a half (joke), but yes it’s possible to lower your fat pad because it happened to me. I recommend cardio and a good ab workout. That’s what I did and now my doctor says I’m as healthy as any other 18 year old, if not healthier.

Yeah this post kind of drifted off, but to reiterate my point: Run (cardio) and do full-sit ups (no crunches b/c crunches target the top part of your abs). There are other exercises for lower stomach as well. You might want to research them online.

The cardio is good advice, but I don’t see how doing ab work will reduce your fatpad… No such thing as spot reduction.

Spot reduction, like you said, is not possible. Cardio will lower your BF%, but toning your lower abdominal region will help you see that “tone” where you want it to be seen.

Imagine you work out your biceps night and day. Your biceps will be stronger and more toned when you actually lose the BF surrounding them. Correct? Applying this to your lower abs is true as well. Correct me if i’m wrong, but lower abs extend slightly into the beginning of the fat pad. If you look at a man with perfect physique, you will notice this.

Either way, the ab workout won’t hurt! :D

At my heaviest I have never had a fat pad over 1/2”. I just got lucky in the genetics lottery for fat pads.

I have a very low fat pad, about 0.25 while I have 15% body fat. Looks I am lucky in that area. :D

I have always been a skinny guy but I have a 1.5”+ fat pad.
