Call me Ishmael. If you want your dolphin to grow into a (rather) big whale you may want to try my alternative Newbie Routine.What works for me will probably work for you too and though it takes some more discipline it will save you a lot of warming, squeezing and torturing Your Best Friend! After some hesitation I decided to start a new thread instead of fitting in my input somewhere else. That is because some of you may after reading will decide to put off jelqing, at least at first.
Some chronology: at least one year ago I strayed into this site and was delighted by the friendly atmosphere and the vast amount of knowledge gathered here. Assuming there was very little for me to add to so much expertise I started to lurk regularly under my own name and did some studying. My 22 years of experience in doing Healing Tao exercises did not seem relevant at the time.
Like many of you out there I felt ambition awake while reading of the possible gains you can make. Though my EL since puberty was 16.5 Cm’s I decided that bigger is always better and started to follow the basic Newbie routine. I built it up very slowly because of my age(56) and always kept the stretching rather mild but after six to eight weeks or so I began to notice clear gains in EL and also in FL. And, what’s more, so did my wife! It was time to do some measuring and to my surprise I measured an easy 17.5 Cm’s. Since average FL seemed to have gone up too(from about 10 Cm’s to about 12 Cm’s) PE certainly worked and I was very glad.
Yet there were some problems, which I soon learned to call negative PI’s. Erections seemed to be somewhat less frequent and not fully pointing to 2 o’clock but more inclined towards the hour of 3. Also when flaccid, my dick sometimes seemed…. Well… very flabby indeed. It wasn’t’t short but it did not feel compact or strong and it seemed that the stretching of the ligs had made it retreat a little as if wanting to hide between my thighs. This small change in place made a relatively large difference in perspective from above, not at all adding to locker room confidence, on the contrary!
Just when I was about to decide to give up, I watched some porn movies and noticed, how could I not, that the really big guys with the real high hard-ons( which is not the same) also had a very thick bulging inner penis. Sometimes it seemed their inner penis pushed both balls towards the legs and was almost as straight as their outer penis. At that moment I recalled a wise saying of Mantak Chia’s….

I took out a mirror to inspect my perineum and as you guess, my ‘bulge’ seemed relatively small and much more curved than those of the porn dinosaurs. This brought me to the following working hypothesis (well we cannot all be Einsteins):

PE is only truly effective only if preceded by Penile Empowerment, that is strengthening the inner penis and pelvic muscles. The additional support and blood flow will give the inner penis the opportunity to stretch itself and to move outwards, thereby growing longer. Jelqing can be supportive in the process.

About four months ago I started a twofold programme:

The first part of my routine consists of building up the muscles of the pelvic floor. It’s not what is called Kegels in this site, because it is not just about squeezing hard. I identified 5 working area’s in the pelvic region which I separately work. I squeeze (never for 100%, but only 95%, slowly release the tension and in one continuous movement push out. If you want to try this you will , like I did, feel within a few weeks a vibrant warmth and a fuller awareness of the various muscles. I quickly learned to move the various muscles apart from each other, which made me able to move the muscles also backwards(that is, towards the anus) and to the front. These exercises can be done anytime and anywhere. It takes me about 10 minutes in the morning and ten in the evening and I regularly take time for it while in the office. Nobody notices! I am not very concerned with the amount of repeats but I do at least 300 of them 5 days a week and take 2 resting days, just to be sure.

For the second part, I need some privacy, and warm clean hands with short nails. I do not need extensive warming up it is sufficient to have room temperature and a basically horny mood. If totally not-horny, don’t exercise but wait until you are! I lie down or sit low, rub to more or less full erection. Then with the three middle fingers of one hand I seek the small indentation between the perineum and the anus(elsewhere in this site this point is called Million Dollar Point, see the excellent article of cheevah about such matters). If you press there gently but firmly you will see your erection make a very rewarding extra ‘jump”. It is this ‘jump’ I want to enlarge and expand. Effectively I have blocked some, though not all, of the blood inside the penis and can now start to massage. While keeping the one hand in place, I use the flat part of the fingertips of the other hand upwards towards the outer penis, brushing the balls gently aside. This I repeat at least 20 times per session, then change hands and repeat another twenty times. None of these movements should let the erection subside, but if it does I simply rub to erection again, or stop the session.

I do not do a cooling down, but when I have released the blocking hand I always give the whole area an appreciative rubdown, esp. The balls which somehow feel slightly neglected.

I felt results within weeks, esp when erect. The pelvic muscles seemed to be able to give more resistance to the back of the penis, forcing it as it were up and out. Erections grew more frequent and certainly got higher than 2 o’clock again, really giving me hope to get to 1 o’ clock someday’. An NBPEL of 18.6 is routine now and , at least at one time my wife measured a clear 19+. Though, as you gathered, my interest in enlarging has more or less switched to empowerment, more improvement feels possible, perhaps aided by some additional jelqing.

Plenty of guys, myself included, will simply not read posts comprised of giant paragraphs. I do a fair amount of work online, both at Thunder’s and other places. With that in mind I pace myself and avoid things that will cause eye strain or head aches. Micro-fonts, bad colour schemes, run on paragraphs: all are to be avoided.

Hej Ishmael…the exercise you mention here seems rather good.

If I understood correctly, what you describe is sort of behind the balls jelqing?
Do you do this with or without lube?
Also, would you contribute your gains to this exercise?

So the exercise would be: get an erection; then clamp with your three fingers half way between the anus and balls, where you would normally try and stop ejaculation; then with the three fingers of your other hand you sort of jelq upwards?

Yes, you got me right, this is exactly what I am doing. I don’t use any lube, though it’s not such a bad idea at all. The main idea is not to press with fingerpoints or nails but with the flat of the fingers pressing the blood towards the outer penis. Then I rub along sort of up towards the glans.

If done rightly there is no irritation of the skin at all, it all should feel pleasurable.

Yes, the special feeling that these exercises give, has me convinced that I am very much on the right track. BTW, the fact that you have extra long erections while doing this, may be a factor in itself. See also the posts about edging.

I hope no one thinks I am opposed to normal jelqing. I gained a lot of length by doing it, but I want to do more than make my dick longer and flabbier. I just think that newbie gains need not stop, just as long as you keep strengthening the base of the penis.

Please let me know your ideas on this, when you give it a try.


Well as I was trying to explain rather clumsily my main concern was that my LOT was rather low. I mean that erections were good and hard but more horizontal instead of pointing upwards. Also night wood and morning wood were no daily routine anymore. This seems to have been fixed now, even though it is the darkest and coldest time of the year now.

After you block off the blood, then you use your other hand, Like between the first and second digit, to squeeze the blood out of the inner penis and up the shaft towards the head. Am i understanding this correctly. where exactly do you put your three fingers that will be moving, and how are you to move them up. I don’t understand what part of your hand ur using, the palm side or the back

Ok Ishmael, a few more questions.

I didn’t quite understand how you rub along your penis towards the glans - I get how you use the flat part of your fingertips to jelq the inner penis, but what exactly do you do with the outer penis when you are done with jelqing the inner part? I hope you understand my question.

Also, is there any visualization involved?

And when did you first start noticing the results?

Yes, I block with the left hand and rub the right side of the inner penis with the palm side of the the first digits, then after a while I change hands and rub the other half. So I mainly move the blood around which dilates the veins of the inner penis, I think. I rub the outer penis only to really be sure that I finish the movement and of course. It helps to maintain erection. The energizing effect was felt by me after a few days already and now I would not want to miss it anymore.
